This review is for the young staff member named Leo on the checkout today. Amazing customer service, patience, understanding and kindness when there were issues with my mums gift card not going through. Thank you so much to Leo for not making a stressful situation worse : you're a credit to the store.
Big choice of products in the store. Some nice clothes and some good bargains. Not enough cashiers and the queue was quite long and the car park is busy so was hard to find a space. There's one toilet at the back of the store.
The hygiene of the shop is extremely poor. Dust everywhere floor, shelves, even started to affect clothes hanged on the hangers or lying on the shelves. This is the only reason why I stopped to shop here. From the last comment of someone before me a month ago, staff promised to clean, and believe me, no one touched anything here. Staffing are ignorants Jessica on 1st September 2022 at 2.20pmand don't bother of anything when I asked to clean dust from changing rooms. One of the worst shops I have ever done shopping.
Easy to get to, plenty of parking during the week, although not free, but it is if you buy something apparently, but a pound for an hour is nothing. Lots of choice for all the family, any age, boy or girl, man or woman. It has a few toys and home goods as well. My only main problem was when it was time to pay. Not enough people on the tills and the que was huge, so standing around waiting to pay took longer than it did to choose the actual clothes we were buying.
Got my partner his wedding clothes good quality at a reasonable price
Absolute shambles this store. Non of the staff know what theyre doing, and over 20 minutes waiting for a simple return. 6 members of staff behind the tills and only one person actually serving. Almost as if the staff are asleep.
Matalan is now open for instore purchases its full of its amazing varity of cloths for women men kids and household items it also has very useful items which are reduced in price. I bought 2 single bedsheets both reduced from £15 to £4 which is an amazing price drop

Unfortunately after many years I won't be shopping or ordering anything online to Click & Collect from Matalan in Bury as the service is absolutely appalling. One member of staff serving and about ten people queueing to pay. M & S Click & Collect service is so much better as you don't have to queue up with everyone else but go straight to a designated area and that is also to return items too and it saves so much time. I expect Matalan will not respond to this negative review as they only seem to acknowledge the positive ones.
Budget friendly shopping, that thankfully no longer insists on paid membership to shop. Very reasonably priced clothing and bedding
