Lovely piece of Beach art, always makes me smile whenever I see it. Really like how it's never the same view of it every time you visit. Sometimes it's underwater and not visible, sometimes the tide is out and even the base is exposed, other times it glistens in the Sun and on occasion it makes a good wind shelter. Always changes but still the same Shell.

Very photogenic any time of day, although you might want to try to be there at high tide.nThe cafe is right alongside the sculpture which is a lovely bonus.

The shell is slightly confusing until You recognise it as a shell. Initially I thought it was a bomb or a mangled ship. But once I realised, it looks great.nCleveleys front looks vastly improved, sadly the pubs and Victoria gardens look a mess. Mary's Shell itself was covered in graffiti which spoilt it somewhat.

Just love visiting this iconic sculpture  and photographing it at different tide times.

Let's be honest, it's a single sculpture on a large section of coastline. But for me it was a highlight on a sunny day as I like to see something a bit different at the seaside.
