We stayed at this lovely place Cleveleys this summer. The North Promenade and the beaches were breathtaking and beautiful! What an amazing job they have done renovating the promenade! Our accommodation was right on the seafront with a balcony boasting uninterrupted panoramic sea views that stretched to the mountains of the Lake District and just a few minutes walk to the lovely bar’s & restaurants. The location was very quiet & peaceful. The views from our window/ balcony were amazing! Love the North Promenade and will be back again to this very classy location!
Enjoyed a bracing walk along this wide stretch of beach when I recently visited Cleveleys. It's easy to access, with flights of steps with handrails at regular intervals along the terraces leading down to it, and there's also a wheelchair accessible ramp. The beach is shingly close to the steps, but there's lots of clean sand further out, making it both easy to walk and ideal for children to build sandcastles! The shallow pools that had been left behind by the tide were great for paddling and exploring. The artworks were also well worth a close look. Some great views from here of Blackpool Tower and the Lake District fells, and you can even see the Isle of Man on a very clear day. Dogs are allowed on this beach only between October and the end of April. There's a seafront café, outdoor beach shower, and toilets on the prom.
Better than the beach at Blackpool. The tram system is epic and well thought out. My boys bought a Steven there.
I'd love to say it's beautiful.nI'd love to say it's one of the best beaches I've ever been to.nI could tell you that there were moments today when I felt at perfect peace with the world and the sky and all in-between.nWhen music matched material matter.nWhen the horizon looked like a renaissance masterpiece.nWhen I was the painter, the subject and the viewer all at once.nnBut then you might want to come here.....nnSo .....erm....it's ok .....if you like that sort of thing but I'd of thought you should stick to Blackpool.nnNothing to see here.....move along.... move along.
Although looking a little worn around the edges again now after it's huge revamp years back, and the mess that's being made by all the dump trucks that I think are reinforcing the sea defences, it's still a lovely spot and generally overlooked in favour of Lytham St.Annes waterfronts. You don't get the idiots either that are generally present on Blackpool's waterfront spots. Lots of things to do close by for young and old alike. Dog friendly too on the beaches between Oct-Mar
