FOOD 4/5 Fresh fish however, the bones do spoil the experience. Chips, gravy and portion sizes are all perfect. ATMOSPHERE 4/5 Pretty straightforward seating and simple. Putting on a little music could add a nice touch. SERVICE 4/5 Nice people, fast but too busy to make it feel personal. VALUE: 4/5 Everything taken into consideration, it's fairly priced at around £15/head including drink and service. OVERALL: Not the best and nowhere near the worst I've had. Would like to try the boneless options in the area when I go back.
We wanted some bites for quick lunch and chanced upon this. There was a long queue but it cleared very fast. There are two outlets - one is a sit down restaurant where there are servers serving at the table. The other entrance is a walk in take away counter. Prices are very reasonable. We had fish nuggets, fish cake, fish roe. They are all deep fried. The bill came up to about GBP7. The fish cake is mixed with potatoes while the fish roe is mainly just the roe deep fried with a thin batter.
Our favourite in Cromer so far!!! Cannot fault, great food, sizing and price, and they have great curry!! Staff always been very polite which makes a enjoyable place to go back…
Friday late afternoon in late May and there was a constant turnover of people eating in. As one table emptied, it was cleaned and refilled. Waiting time for a table was a minute at most, and the time between sitting down and our food being presented was impressive. Haddock, Chips Mushy Peas and a Bread Roll. Extremely nice.

Very nice fish, especially the skate. However, the chips didn’t taste very good. They look pale and soggy.
What a great idea for a restaurant. Forget fish and chips more like blue whale and chips. Great value for money and I was ravenous. Walked in and got a table straight away. Sat down and considered the options for a while before I finally decided on fish and chips. If you’re wanting a meal that hits the spot, this is the place for you. Never felt more satisfied. There should be more of these types of restaurants in the UK. This place will make a fortune.
One large cod, one normal one, a cider and a diet coke. The bill was more than reasonable especially taking into account the beautiful taste, the freshness of the fish, the nice batter, the size of the cod and the really nice chips. All that would have warranted five stars but .... in the smaller cod were seven big bones none in the large one. We saw the lady at the table next to us also picking bones out of her fish. Disappointing and the reason for the deduction of a star. We must mention that the service was very friendly and fast. What a shame of these bones. Kid-friendliness: This is a fish & chips restaurant. Not being kid-friendly is business suicide.
Was perfect portion size. Large chips and cod for 7 managed to fill me and someone else shared between us. Can pay card or cash and they offer takeaway or sit down. Queue wasn't too bad however went midweek. Fish was great chips good too.
Hard to find a fault. Bones , in a fish ! Obv, its a real fish - no issue. Large portion, lovely batter, freshly cooked, proper chip. Can't complain at all. Young lady serving in the restaurant polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Best in the area, thanksFood: 5/5
