A very nice large store with a very good selection of everything M&S. Cafe is good but gets very busy and you order using a screen. There were a few uncleared tables which was disappointing. Food hall is nicely laid out with plenty of self service checkouts.
Reading previous reviews about this store. While looking for suits. I got proper M&S quality customer service from Tracey Senior. She is a credit to M&S.nnShe has the patience of a saint and made sure I got the right type of suit and she gave her honest opinion that it fitted well. Nothing was too much trouble.
All the usual M&S facilities except BIGGER. The food hall is epic with the flagship bakery and cheese selection. Self service is key. Carpark is free but since this is a shopping mall, busy periods takes the shine off the experience. Choose you visit time wisely!
They have no staff on the shop floor to help customers by giving advice or searching for stock. Stock on rails is all disordered because there is no staff keeping on top of it.nnWe went to buy a suit with an 82 year old. He needed help finding sizes. The only offer was a QR code on a sign which leads to a web site to book a suit fitting. We gave up and went elsewhere.nnM&S seem to have lost the plot and it will cost them badly. This is not how you fight online retailers.nnWe tried to find help in men’s clothing and only found the sign in the photo. We also had a general browse and saw no staff on ladies or children’s sections.nnWe went in the cafe. Dad is in a wheelchair. The entire entrance to the cafe is taken up by ordering screens like McDonalds, each with a queue which completely blocks access to the cafe. The screens are a struggle to use and unsuitable for elderly customers who appear to be a large section of the customers. We won’t be going there again.
Chaos at the cafe. Had to queue to use the self service screens like you’re at McDonalds instead of ordering at the till which would be much faster. Then only part of our order arrived and we were left waiting for the rest. Queried with a team member who went away to check but never came back. Wife eventually complained and they said not all of their coffee machines were working. It would have been useful to have a sign up explaining so people know before they order. To their credit they did make it there and then and offered a refund but no apology. When the order did arrive it included the part of the order that they’d already brought earlier. The coffee wasn’t particularly hot which turned out to be a good thing in the end as by this time we needed to leave.
