I use it for food shopping but there's plenty of other stuff including a nice cafe. The bakery is good here and I'm a fan of their fruit cordials. Everyone should visit occasionally at least.nnThe cafenOn the top floor the cafe is a treat. You'll find plenty of tables but don't be fooled it can be busy. Staff know what they are doing and that makes a difference. I enjoy an americano and cheese scone usually although the croissants are great too. Don't tell anyone but it's reasonably priced too.
Early morning shopping is self check out only, with no staffed check out tills open. That's my only gripe. Staff are great, food quality great and often better and cheaper than the tesco express just a few hundred metres up the road.
This Marks and Spencer’s is extremely spacious and wheelchair friendly. It has lifts located around the building.There are self-service checkouts which moves fairly quickly. There is always a lovely selection of sweets and chocolates to satisfy all your chocolate cravings and a delicious selection of baked goods from fresh bread to tasty looking donuts. The fruit is always fresh and juicy and the rosiest shade of red.Their are escalators and stairs to go up to 1 first which women and children clothing are located on and second floor for men’s. I highly recommend this M&S as new stock is always coming into availability.
M&S Foods in Ipswich is located on the second floor, offering a warm and cozy environment. There’s a lift or stairs available to get upstairs, making it accessible for everyone. After shopping downstairs, I decided to treat myself to some coffee to recharge. I chose the carrot cake and banana bread. The carrot cake was absolutely divine—so good that I forgot to take a picture before devouring it! It definitely deserves 5 stars. The banana bread was tasty as well, though I preferred the carrot cake.nnThe staff member who served us was extremely polite and even mentioned that we were the nicest customers he had all day. Bless him! It’s a great reminder to be kind to everyone you meet. Thank you, M&S Ipswich, for the wonderful experience!
If you want to sample the worse service in the UK, the cafe at this M&S is a must to visit. Check it out! They look at customers like you are getting in their way of feet up, especially the staff who have worked at the cafe for years. But when the branch is by incompetent managers hiding in their office, what else can we expect. M&S HQ should close this branch down to save money, perhaps keeping the downstairs food place open.
