Went in for lunch today, had tempura prawns and nachos... both fantastic!! Another good point, its a great wee place! Unfortunately the mains arrived freezing cold, burger looked very quickly thrown together, the wrap was the same. Staff didn't ask us if everything was okay, even after seeing 2 full plates of food returned. £40.20 for 2 starters and 4 cokes essentially.
I am in love with this place. The vibe is amazing and the food better. We got the special for main which you have to try- a taco with cheese and beef in it called Homemade slow cooked brisket Quesabirria tacos. It is the chef’s experimental dish. I loved it. I got it on the recommendation of the waitress and I would go back to the restaurant just for it.
Amazing food!! I'm not local and taxi driver recommended this place. I had the 'return of the mac' from the specials menu see pic and came back another night and had breaded scampi with salt and chilli chips. The best salt and chilli chips I've ever had!!
Definitely the place to visit for a Pint and a pub dinner while you're in Oban! We were looking for a more traditional pub experience and Markie Dans did not disappoint! The music was fantastic and fortunately we arrived early for a table - this place fills up fast so don't wait around We decided to have a bite while we were in and their food was quite delicious. More elevated than we expected for a pub and the seafood was excellent Definitely a must see in Oban
Very cosy pub, with very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and the home cooked food is the best pub food we had in our 14 days to Scotland! Although a pub, you can visit perfect with children as specials are available. Try the nachos with meatballs. Must visit whan in Oban!
Food was excellent. Great portions. Staff friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend.
Upon arrival we had a couple of guys greeting us with a welcome as we opened the door they apparently do it to every one, it was a nice experience. We were greeted by friendly staff and hadn't heard choice of seating we sat inbthe lower bit. The food and service can only be described as excellent.
My favourite bar in Oban. Normally. But this time we went in in a Sunday afternoon and it was like poorly run creche. Kids running round screaming everywhere. Were going to have a few drinks and possibly a meal, but left after one drink. Great place for a night out though, and always been happy with the food. Just don't go on a Sunday afternoon it seems.
Nice pub, friendly staff, great food and drink. Plenty options on the menu we ordered the Steak and Guinness pie and a few appetisers off the 3 for £18. Food was gorgeous and reasonably priced.
Typical english pub with just in front of the seaside with a lovely view in front of the bay! Generous portions, good tasty food and cocktails! I really enjoyed the chili hot dog, but it was a dish of the day....Maybe if you are lucky you can find it! I recommend this place also because of the live music during the weekend and the pool table!
