18th of June 2024nI saw a doctor this evening completely racist made me feel like I was a waste off time. said to me to go back to your GP.nI was very respectful. I even turned up earlier two hours before my appointment.nBecause I was asked by the receptionist.nI can't believe I served in the army to be treated like this. in fact I'm the one that pays the doctors wages Taxman.nSo how dare you.nI am the one who's going to pay for the prescription, Not the Doctor! so how dare you again! I will be making a formal complain.
Recently joined this practice after being with my old GP for 10 years and they have been absolutely brilliant, from joining the practice, I have had nothing but excellent care. The receptionists are wonderful to speak to, very pleasant, the Clinical pharmacist was very efficient, the practice nurse was very thorough and the two GP's have been extremely accommodating and took the time to listen and treat as they see fit, along with taking my views, ethics and overall well being in to consideration. I deal with GP practices on a daily basis in my line of work and MSMP excel at patient care and from a professional point of view.nI have had no issues getting an appointment, in fact they have offered me multiple time slots and got me in within less than 24 hours notice, and even got me in earlier than scheduled follow up appointment.nThey are easy to contact via their website online, email and via telephone.nCan't ask for much more from a Primary Care provider, especially during these trying times.
I’m normally pretty nervous about going to the GP and, as such, haven’t been in c.10 years. However, I’d been feeling particularly unwell for the past c.5 weeks and, consequently, I hadn’t any choice but to make a visit to this medical practice. What a mistake that was.nnFrom the instant the doctor saw me I was made to feel like a time waster. For example, when I’d responded to her question regarding my symptoms I was told “sorry I wasn’t listening repeat yourself”, it was suggested I should have looked on the “tinternet” rather than visit the GP to be clear, notwithstanding the fact I had looked on the NHS’ website prior to my visit, I must have missed the news bulletin that the internet was now a GP and I should have gone to a pharmacist a pharmacist had already recommended I go to a GP.nnIt was as if feeling unwell and wanting to see a doctor was an abhorrent waste of this GP’s time and I recommend she remembers that her attitude can impact people mentally.nnThe only time the GP seemed to be actually interested in helping was towards the end of the consultation when she seemed to be rattling through a list of standard questions and realised I’d been to Morocco. On this realisation I was scolded as “this was relevant information”. So relevant it had not been asked earlier in the consultation and, also, my trip to Morocco was some time before I started feeling ill. For reference, prior to this segment of the consultation, the GP’s solution was for me to not eat.nnFurthermore the GP’s use of puns / jokes regarding my symptoms seemed to be very inappropriate I’ve been feeling unwell for c.5 weeks and this is causing me stress. Again, this shows a complete lack of interest in the mental health of her patients.nnAlso the trainee paramedics being present without any option for a private GP appointment was disappointing for reference some of my symptoms are pretty embarrassing.nnFinally, it was interesting to note the GP asked me why I hadn’t had a malaria vaccine prior travelling to Morocco although her fabled “tinternet” suggests this is not needed.nnIt may be that there are good / competent professionals at this medical practice e.g. the admin staff seemed very efficient but the GP I saw is certainly not one of them.
Excellent experience at this surgery. I'm a new patient but have found all members of staff from the receptionists to the nurses extremely friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Asked for an admiral nurse for mum as she has dementia ben schofield rung and because he couldn't get hold of me closed the referral down he left an abrupt message saying I was declining I put inba complaint spoke to Lisa about it she never rung me back no one has replied to my complaint I ended up phoning dementia uk and they gave me a number for an admiral nurse who I could self prescribe to to come out to mum this ben schofield is appalling and he should not be closing referrals down because I don't answer the phone does he not realise what it's like dealing with someone with dementia and also Lisa as well really bad she has never called me back also as well put in a prescription over a week ago had text from Emma saying she had passed it on and it has not gone through I have to request it AGAIN TODAY poor service
