Excellent, right on the town's main street. Not often nowadays that you find free parking, other places ought to take notice of this, then perhaps they'd get a substantial amount more visitors & trade for their town's. Well done Castle Douglas.
Great free car park to go exploring around Castle Douglas, plus there was access to free toilets and a small little visitor shop, with information about the local area and ice cream.
Plenty of room at this car park with Royal British Legion at forefront. Excellent to visit Castle Douglas.
Ok this is a stop off point for me when heading to Cairnryan boat to Northern Ireland. It has a good car park clean toilets and if you have time for a wander down the street you'll find coffee shops, etc etc.
I always use this car park when visiting Castle Douglas as its handy to the town and toilets. Unfortunately the toilet was filthy on the day I visited, but clearly it was the fault of some of the users. I was almost tempted to go behind a hedge, it would have cleaner. I pity those who have to clean these places.
All the car parks in Scotland appear to be free! Takes the stress out and more likely to stop at little villages on our holiday mooch! Dumfries is a lovely area to visit.
Market Hill car park ideal place to leave your car when shopping in Castle Douglas. Safe secure and easily accessible. What's not to like!!
