Little station for nice town. So far I found this station in good shape. Staff was attentive and friendly. Good service of trains by EMR. Plenty of parking in front of station. What I think is missing is facility for disabled people because there’s no lift for platform.
Just seen station staff member Freddie going above and beyond in customer service to retrieve a passenger's air bud which they had dropped behind railings into some long grass. That's what I call service. Staff here are always great, helpful and welcoming.
The station is good and parking works well but there are no facilities even the coffee shop looks to have given up. EMR has to be one of the worst performing train operators in the UK.nnOften late and only 5 carriages. On top of that it's well north of £100 to get to London so around £1 a mile and parking is £12.nnTrains are filthy and broken. It's embarrassing and a sign of the spiral of decline for the Midland mainline.
Fairly modern station of two platforms - platform 1 for Leicester and the north and platform 2 for London direction - A footbridge - large car park by London bound platform 2 and dop off points by both sides - a ticket office, cafe and ticket machines - also some taxis at the front and if there are no taxis around then there is a list by the station building staff are great
Great station that I use quite a lot. Fab parking and nice clean platforms. The staff are nice as well..
