Story

Marken Travel is an Independent Travel Agent that has been established since 1983. We are a member of ABTA the Travel Association (membership no: 41886) www.abta.co.uk. Being a member of ABTA ensures we work to high professional standards and we offer choice, value and quality to all our clients. We are a strong believer of 'good old fashion customer service' which sadly in todays enviroment is quite rare. Being in business for 28 years we have a strong and loyal customer base and I believe our service and our team our outstanding.

We are also a member of the Independent Options Consortium who are part of the GLOBAL TRAVEL GROUP. The Global Travel Group are the UK's largest consortium of Independent Travel Agents. They work with a large number of trade suppliers giving you quite literally access to every type of holiday to almost every destination. The size, stature and buying power of the Group ensures that the members have access to the most competitive holidays and flights in the UK allowing us to offer you the best possible deal to suit your requirements.

The proprietor, Carla Hesketh, has been with them for 20 years starting as a travel consultant and gradually taking over as the previous partners retired. All our staff are widely exerienced having spent many years in the travel business. We ensure every enquiry/booking is dealt with on a friendly but professional level. Not only taking your reservations but ensuring you have valid passports, advising on the necessary visa/entry requirements, from pre-allocating seats, making the necessary arrangements for special needs passengers, EHIC cards are valid, arranging USA ESTAS applications, contacting hotels, airlines with any special requests and much more!

Every air package holidays we sell are ATOL protected (www.atol.co.uk) for your financial security. Please be aware if you book a flight only or hotel only reservations these may not have financial cover. In most cases we will be able to offer cover which is arranged through ABTA, this is the ABTA Protection Plan insurance which is available for members to insure customers against the financial failure of a selected supplier whom are not protected by any other scheme. (This also applies if you make any bookings under the Flight and Hotel tab on the home page, these are not classed as a package holiday and are not covered under the Tour Operator Package Travel Regulations and have no financial protection for holiday makers.)
