I may be wrong here but I believe a lot of people have left reviews without giving the fish time to settle. I ordered 4 fish and they are all alive one month on. I had ordered during a bad time as well as the weather was extremely cold so shipping may not of been the nicest transition for the fish but all did arrive alive, granted one was struggling but once the fish has left the shop that's then the couriers responsibility and I do believe shipping may of been a rough experience leaving this one particular fish to struggle, however once acclimated correctly he pulled through . I haven't noticed any disease or issues with any of the fish and all came in a nice size and shape. I'd happily order again from this seller, especially at their prices.
I ordered from this company on 16/9/2022 several items a the delivery was 24hrs later than specified, in total 48hrs. b they did not reply to my email about this. cupon opening the bag the boxer shrimp was damaged,this was reported to them within an hour of delivery with photos,they chose not to reply to my email,the boxer shrimp has since died. d I have sent another 3 emails to which they have not replied. e I have rang them several times, their message and I quote! "sorry theres no one avalable and you can not leave a message" I gave it 1 star because they put water in the plastic bags. Finally I would strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering from this company,
Looks like owner Paul provides ,, good service" only if there is no issues! Absolutely shocking service right from the start! I've ordered two fish and a clam online. Package arrived next day as expected but not quite. Measured water temp in bags was around 20°C,there was only one small heat pack at the bottom of that big box. No signs of life in bags, both fish were lying on the sides, clam was slightly open with mantle being withdrawn on one side below the edge shoeing the inside shell. Straight away I've sent an email to Marine W. A with photos attached explaining the issue and my concerns and asked for a contact as I was not happy that those animals didn't receiveda proper care in transport. Few minutes later had a phone call from a guy called Paul, he started shouting at me saying how I dare accusing him of a,, lack of care'',he repeatedly assured me that it's normal. I wasn't even able to say anything as he would constantly talk over me with a angry, patronising tone saying that he sends out hundreds of parcels each week and that only few incidents occured with his stock, he also said that he finds disgusting myself accusing him of a lack of care over and over again. I did say that even with best care incidents do happen, parcel might been badly treated but he would not acknowledge anything, I was spoken over at all time. He did not apologise, said sorry or show any empathy,he was very disrespectful towards me. I was told that I know nothing about the hobby, to your information Paul if you are reading this I've been in this hobby for over 20 years, successfully keeping wide range of fish, corals and invertebrates, I had my first fish tank when I was 6 years old actually and this hobby is very close to my heart, every little animal deserves the best care. Both fish and a clam died within few days... Very sad. This incident put me off forever from ordering anything live online , this is my experience guys and my only but I belive that things need to be told. I've sent an email to Marine A.W but disk not received any reply whatsoever, absolutely shocking lack of care of customer service!I Photos being taken after the death of the animals obviously, not on the day of the arrival, owner Paul is trying to suggest that I'm not honest here, please don't try to twist the truth around now and tell me that my tank parameters had anything to do with that! And this is exactly what I'm taking about, your stinky attitude. What a human being...
Not great tbh. I had ordered two wrasse from them. One came with a disease and died within 3 days, the other one is fine and survived. I don’t understand how a shop can actually send out a diseased fish. It was clear it had something wrong with it as it had large white patches on the side. Anyway won’t be making that mistake again. If you’re in the Uk I highly recommend abyss aquatics. Just bought a couple designer clowns and hawkfish that arrived in very good condition.
Now, that’s the way to do it!!!! I have bought from here several times and never left a review, I think it’s about time I did.. each time I order my fish/ coral/ other items I have had to wait a week or two for delivery.. at the start it didn’t sit well with me.. but I now understand why. These people ensure livestock are healthy, well rested and in peak condition before sending. Items are packed with immense care, double bagged, wrapped up in paper, with heat packs, a space blanket, in a poly box, inside a black bag & finally a cardboard box.. this ensures the items arrive in peak condition delivered by overnight delivery & I have never had anything other exceptional service! I’ve called them to discuss my livestock prior to delivery and they make it seem like they have plenty of time to discuss I’m sure they are actually really busy. They offer a fair live on arrival guarantee, which I have never needed to fall back on as they also pack comprehensive acclimating instructions. The only possible downside is that we don’t live closer as they would have 100% of our business we have a coral tank, reef tank & seahorse/pipe fish tank. Ordered fish for delivery and I have to say my experience was superb from start to finish, they arrived in good health and very well packaged and on time, after reading the negative feed back I was a bit worried but it goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you read !!!! Thanks again.
Would never use again, items turned up dead and the service and response was shocking ..... avoid at all costs, cowboys
First time using marine world aquatics , brought cuc , one bundle of snails and crabs plus two brittle starfish, without offer of an alternative the two starfish was refunded due them not having them , on receiving the rest of the order 4 crabs a 1 snails was missing, empty shells was sent instead, so 7 items I had ordered was not delivered, I was refunded for what was not delivered but when you are spending £15 p&p it meant it would have been cheaper to use the LFS which is exactly what I will be doing in the future, also the items I did receive were extremely small, I wrote to marine world aquatics explaining my experience and to also ask about an extra snail which was in with the crabs and was different to any other snail I ordered to ask if it was safe in a reef tank, No reply was given, no apology was given, no we will fulfill your order , no the snail we should not have sent to you is this type of snail and is or is not safe in a reef tank, no good will gesture, the communication was nonexistent, my advice don't bother, they can't be bothered with any form of customer service. In response to the reply below: 1, four items was not DOA but were empty shells, this should never happen as the items should have been checked before posting. 2, an automated computer system would update stock levels immediately in the unlikely event you still do this manually and an item is unavailable would it not have been a good idea to inform me of this and what if any other options were available, you had several days to do this and my email and phone. 3, you state proudly you complete over 50% of orders , I think that's shocking, it means over 40% of order you send out are not what your customers want, you say how you keep prices low, not the case for all the customers paying high postage cost and not receiving what they ordered. 4, the bottom line is you haven't cared about customer service or the fact you should have tried to contact me or checked properly what items you sent. Under your logic if only 1 snail was left from an order almost £100 you would still send it and not care about the fact the customer is spending a lot of money on postage.
Do not buy off this guy!!! Had three bad experiences. One of which I had a dead on arrival shrimp which Iv still not received a refund on despite me reporting it correctly and sending photos of the deceased cut in half at their request. He ignores your emails hoping you go away and forget about it. The latest experience I ordered two fish prior to the Tuesday cut off point for Thursday delivery as per the website. Sent three emails just to ask when I might expect my delivery as nothing came on the Thursday and just ignored me. Eventually came back with short rude replies. Zero respect for customers, zero customer service skills or basic manners. It costs nothing to update customers accordingly. All I wanted to know as a customer is when I could expect the delivery but despite eventual rude replies he still wouldn’t give me an indication or answer. In this case it’s cost him custom. Wouldn’t buy of this company if it was the last and remaining company on the planet. This guy lies, never received a refund for the dead on arrival shrimp and he ignores your emails, worst customer service going. I did receive a refund on this last occasion as I cancelled the order through PayPal. Attitude stinks I’m sorry to say.
