Good food and good staff, and not an overly complicated menu I had a steak cooked to my liking and the three other diners also had a great experience.

Great food at not too bad a price, i took my dad for birthday and it was around £140 for 4 adults with 3 starters and 4 mains  all steaks i think, or at least 2 anyway lol  3 pints each and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious, i would recommend the calamari starter and staff very friendly warm and welcoming. Used to work here as a kid and was good to see how far it has come over the past years as i loved my years working here

Went on Easter Sunday for Dinner. It was a set menu, 3 course for £30. The setting is nice thought the food wasn't great. Usual scenario, turkey and ham, beef dish, chicken dish, pork dish and a vegetarian pasta. It was like school dinner quality at best. The quality of the meat wasnt great, it was quite watery and rubbery. We had been about 2 years before and really enjoyed the food. It has changed a lot since then. The setting is nice and the service was great.

Was taken here for dinner by some friends. Great service, informative without being condescending. Enough attention without being overbearing. Pleasant setting and ambience, but most importantly, the best steak I've had in a long time.  I like my fillet blue, and most places overcook it, but this was perfect. Absolutely flawless.  Priced accordingly.

Average quality food, definitely not worth the price we paid for it. The wait staff were also average, brought the wrong wine and only asked if our meal was ok when they picked up the empty plates. The food took 45minutes to arrive and wasn't up to the standard we'd expect from a restaurant with Chef Marco Pierre White's name on the door. The wait might have been understandable, but there were only a half-dozen tables including ourselves in that night. All round, a below par experience, much better meals available for less in the city.  EDIT: After writing a letter the management to complain, my estimation has improved, although first impressions above do stand the manager was very polite and wanted to hear every detail of our visit. He was tremendously kind and apologetic, offering us the opportunity to come back for a complimentary meal to see changes in our service and food. Not many places would have gone to the trouble of speaking directly with us regarding our complains so it was much appreciated.

Food was great but service was shockingly poor! No smiles from staff. Unfriendly. 40 minute wait for table water Didn't lift side plates or cutlery before main Only asked at start for drinks. In 90 mins not once did they ask for more drinks. Never asked during the meal was it okay.  Just terrible service. We wanted dessert and more drink but refused to give them more money.  Didn't even appear overly busy. Very disappointing. Never

Food was disappointing for the price point. All was either dry or tasteless and took awhile to get out despite the fact no one else was there. The staff were nice but overall a let down

1St thing i have to say is the staff are friendly and helpful. Food very good i been a few times and last time we had a wee problem with something from the main bar. The staff in the eating area sorted it very fast even though it was not really their problem. So yes go enjoy lovely food and relax and be spoiled

Fantastic, tasty, tasty food. 10/10 for the starters. What a great choice. Friendly unobtrusive staff. No pretence. We had a great meal, in a popular restaurant, with local charm and a brilliant menu.

Enjoyable family meal in a nice atmosphere. Early Saturday evening so not s busy time. Can't comment on value as I never saw the bill.
