I’ve had a problem with a pain in my leg and have found them extremely helpful in sorting this out with an acupuncture session with Man Yuen. It’s quite surprising how such a treatment can make the body itself tackle the problem. Certainly would recommend them.
I would highly recommend Marchmont Physiotherapy. I have seen Man Yuen in relation to a recurring running knee injury. She did a very thorough holistic assessment and was able to identify other linked issues. She also filmed me running on a treadmill and gave useful feedback about my running style. My recent sessions have included exercises as well as ‘dry needling’. This seems to have speeded up the recovery process and my knee pain is completely gone. Knee also coped with a half marathon without a twinge! She has now recommended exercises to help prevent future injury. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Man Yuen figured out the root of my problem almost instantly. She explained everything clearly and made multiple workout plans for me to accommodate the progress I was making. I enjoyed our sessions and can highly recommend her.
I can highly recommend Marchmont physiotherapy. I have been a regular client of Man Yuen - I went initially with a bad shoulder, and through her very thorough assessment several other factors were highlighted. It’s difficult to explain but Man Yuen really has a very skilled holistic approach ,and gets to the core of the problem - and how that impacts on other areas of your body , your pain , and also the impact of stress on the body. I have had several treatment techniques including acupuncture for the first time which was very successful. Overall excellent service, and have recommended to several friends .
The range of services that Marchmont Physiotherapy Clinic offer can be combined to offer very effective treatments for any joint aches and pains, performance issues, lethargy and general "hard to root out" niggles. I had a personal recommendation to book an appointment and I'm glad that I did. I've had a number of consultations in the past year and a half and from the initial contact through to the follow up sessions - they are really professional, tailored/personal and friendly - and Covid safe. I've seen Man Yuen for my sessions and her knowledge of her field and diagnostic ability is fantastic - far beyond my previous expectations of Physio and complementary treatments. After the first session - with no exaggeration - I felt lighter on my feet and able to breath more clearly during exercise. Give them a try if you feel the need to sort out any movement and wellbeing issues.
I have been to Marchmont Physio multiple times and have seen both Man Yuen and Carlo. Both were absolutely wonderful and I never hesitate when recommending the clinic to my friends. I have been provided with an incredible service and a very holistic approach, which helps me so much more than any other service I've been to before. I will be returning again and again.
After seriously injuring my shoulder I went to Marchmont Physiotherapy to see Man Yuen. When I arrived I could not move my right arm without extreme pain. Man Yuen worked on my whole body and after several sessions I was completely pain free which I had not been for many many years. I would highly recommend Man Yuen and Be Activates. Since helping me my husband has also been treated. He had severe neck and shoulder issues with daily headaches several specialists told him he would just have to live with it. Man Yuen has been able to help him too. Don’t live with pain - it can be helped.
My husband, Peter, attended Marchmont Physiotherapy Clinic several times having suffered from back pain and sciatica. The treatment given by Man Yuen was excellent. He would have no hesitation in recommending, and indeed has recommended, the clinic to friends.
Very good experience with Marchmont Physiotherapy. Had developed acute pain in my shoulder, neck and upper back, struggled to even breathe comfortably or sleep at night. Things started to improve almost immediately following diagnosis and start of treatment. Was completely pain-free just over a month later and have experienced no recurrence since. Man Yuen is professional, amiable, gives clear explanations of the work being done so is worth every penny. I've been around the block for over a decade and talented fascial release workers are very very thin on the ground. Wouldnt go anywhere else. De-jammed my stiff aching hands which is no mean feat. Such a relief. First class practitioner.
