Poor customer service skills. Rude and unhelpful. Products that are faulty do not get replaced and they won't give you the time of day. Really unpleasant experience.

Was struggling to find a replacement laptop cable. Whilst I couldn't get what was needed, the guys in the store couldn't have done more to help. Thanks so much for trying hard to sort the problem guys.

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, some goods might seem a touch on the pricey side, but everything is top quality gear and you do get what you pay for.

Once upon a time Maplin Electronics was the Mecca of Electronics, computer parts, and general geekery. While the excellent staff have remained, the company seems  to have moved towards selling the same technology that competitors such as Currys sell, but at a massively inflated price. Amidst the single use tool section and the Pound shop solar lights, you may find the odd innovative piece of kit - However, it is often several times cheaper online, or even over the road at PC World.

R.I.P Maplin. Not so niche anymore.
