A very useful store, and a unique one. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The range of stock, of small items especially, is amazing. They stock lots of things you just can't find anywhere else. The other big multiple chain stores are only interested in selling large brand new items, and if you need a replacement part, or any after sales assistance, you haven't got much chance. They'll often send you to Maplins !! because that's the only shop which can help. It will be a big shame when Maplins goes.
I use this store all the time for audio and computer equipment. The staff are pretty helpful and Maplin seems to have upped its game with the Rise of the Geeks, of late. Interesting stock like 3D printers etc and plenty to browse but also a good selection of the bits and bobs you need to get projects done. There is the bonus that this store is one of three in the same 8 mile radius. This is great in case of stock problems.
A great little place for electrical nick-nacks, electronic toys and bits for projects. Really helpful staff, good for browsing as you're not pestered, and reasonable prices. Lots of car parking space outside too.
Staff are always really helpful in there. Even if they don't stick something they'll help you look for alternatives! I find the customer service is way above the standard of most shops in Maplins
Normal Maplin store. The staff are all exceptionally happy to help and will proactively ask you if you look a little lost. They will also happily leave you to browse if that is what you want to do.
Great staff, really helpful and have good knowledge of the products sold, happy to find out more information if required. Lots of parking and close to Sainsbury and Argos.
Overpriced for what they're selling these days, the range seems to have gone sharply downhill. When you want a member of staff there's none and when you don't want them they're all over you.

Handy location for electrical goods and components in a shop around the corner. Not particularly cheap, but you pay a small premium for accessibility.
