This surgery has a really good car park and very easy to use walk in area with useful information and water bowls for pets..
It's a very impressive building from the outside and the inside is too.
I am always greeted in a friendly and professional manner and promptly.
Has large windows and plenty of seating areas for clients and their pets, cat and dog areas are separately positioned in the spacious waiting area.
There is a toilet for use by clients
There are also tables to place your cat's basket on.
A very well thought out design.
I have every faith in this Veterinary clinic, and have been a client of theirs for 48 years now. That in itself proves that I trust them to do the best job within their capabilities.
I am offered a seat and asked to tell the vet my concerns, which he listens carefully to and makes notes of.
Then will explain in layman's terms what can be done and what they will offer.
If necessary he will draw a picture of what it is or could be going on inside my pet's body, and let me know what could happen if no action is taken.
Tony Barnes first impression/diagnosis was indeed right.
A good vet's job is to make the client feel as relaxed and confident as possible, as it's about good customer relations as much as the pets welfare. They manage both here.
Wouldn't go anywhere else although I've moved further away.
They've treated my pet hamsters, gerbils pet rats and now cats and all were treated equally well.

Friendly local vets. Good parking, helpful staff. Better experience than a franchise string.

Not welcoming - we called ahead to tell them about the situation with our girl who was in whelp with a possible puppy being stuck - they said to bring her in - when we got there the receptionist did not respond to our hello. And when she did she said she’d let the vet know we where here but still sat at her desk! 5 mins later she went to tell the vet!
The vet was extremely slow - but didn’t seem to know what to do wouldn’t give oxytocin and said she may need a Caesarian and or a scan - she felt our girls tummy and said she “thinks” there is a puppy there. The vet then said after 20mins that they can’t perform the operation as they don’t do after hours! So refered is to Newham court Maidstone. The vet phoned them and told them incorrect information so the receptionist had to correct her. Our girl was now very distressed as vets make her nervous (we told them this before we went in) and her 3 new pups were in a heated box so she was also concerned about her pups.
Rather than letting us go home to calm our girl down the vet had us wait while she called Newham court vets in Maidstone and then said they are calling her back but that we should wait until they called her back. Meanwhile our girl is in the car wanting to get to her pups. But also shaking due to being nervous and in whelp.
We finally had to walk out as it was taking far to long. We were there for a 30-40mins. Our girl had already gone 3 hours in between pups it was now 4 hours!
I do not recommend this vets at all - given that the situation needed fast decisions due to its nature and the live of a puppy.
Thank fully however when we arrived home 5 mins later she gave birth to a live baby boy (the sack had burst as we initially thought) we had braised ourselves thinking is could be stillborn like his sister but he was and is a healthy boy - our girl then had two more pups. We had told the vet we felt more pups in there but she didn’t seem to believe us.
I will not be giving this surgery any money as their service was very poor.
We phoned them at 4:08 and arrived there at 4:30 - we got back home by 5:20 - it took the vets 40 minutes to help us and then nothing happened - but they did phone us back - at that point our girl was pushing so we couldn’t answer - the vet left a voicemail message asking us to phone her rather than telling us the outcome - which was that Newham court do not do an out of hours service - it was awful and an extremely worrying situation.
They story of our girls full whelp and what we told the vets:
Our girls first pup a girl was stillborn - she then had 3 boys all healthy - the last boy was born at 1:33pm - 3 hours passed and our girl was not settling so we took her out for a wee - when she got back in the whelping box some fluid came out (it looked sack fluid) so were concerned that a sack had burst. We felt more puppies moving in her uterus and our girl had stopped pushing. We wanted advice from the vet as to what we should do as we realised that this could be fatal..... 40mins spent int the vet (see above)
On arriving home our girl then 2 more boys (one at 5:36pm and one at 5:51pm) she then had a girl at 7:03pm - 5 boys and 1 girl - all healthy and doing well. She is an amazing first time mummy.
So this story ends well - it could have been the opposite if we had listened to the vet.
