I cannot speak highly enough of Manor Street surgery and all staff. I haven't seen a GP for a few years. However, this week I visited for my flu jab. The nurse was really nice and on time. At reception I enquired about well woman health checks and the next day received a txt asking me to book an appointment for a check up. Finally I called yesterday to try and make a GP appointment. I got the appointment for 9.30 today. After seeing the doctor exactly on time she booked me in for physio this Thursday morning. The NHS doesn't get any better than this. In fact I would even say that you would not have received this level of service in the private practice. Your service and patient care is first class and should be used as an example of how a surgery should run.
With all the negativity at the moment and the stress surgeries are under just wanted to give a shout out to Manor Street Surgery. Two recent telephone appoints, one led to a face to face appointment, promt treatment and friendly manner. Telephone appointments work well for me and are a god send for some.
Thank you to everyone at this wonderful surgery. They have seen my mum on 3 occasions now, they are always extremely busy, but didn't let my 96 year old mum wait. Thank you so much , Ben Hughes. On behalf of my mum, Daphne.
We have been with this practice for many years and greatly appreciate their care and attention in times of need.
Only just signed up with this surgery. Well if the ignorance of certain receptionists is anything to go by.. already leaving a bad taste in my mouth. When patients are not well, they generally aren't in the best of spirits. To be snarled at, looked at like something was on the floor by a certain disrespectful receptionist is beyond me. Being a new patient, it's in your endeavour to treat patients with respect. You are carrying out a service. If information has been given to a patient over the phone, and that then changes when they arrive it's expected that they are agitated. I also had a second opinion at a hospital on Saturday morning. Luckily I was diagnosed correctly, and NOT being asked myself to do my own blood pressure this is not expected from other doctors surgeries, or even hospitals where a patient is asked to do there own blood pressure. I was diagnosed correctly elsewhere, and given the correct medication. Regarding me not giving all the information on the forms at your surgery, your receptionist was extremely rude. My response back was in complete shock at how a receptionist can handle situations in such a disrespectful tone. One of the other receptionists was very calm and helpful. The entire point of leaving a review, is to leave an honest account.
Coming from another surgery of a little town nearby, I have been impressed by the services provided and mostly the way patients are treated. All the ladies doing the reception are very helpful and friendly though professionals. I have met with a few GPs at the surgery and I felt looked after with them. Same experience with the nurses for blood tests, jabs and else. Professional and pleasant. I happened to have missed an appointment a couple of time, and not once the staff who took my call made me feel more embarrassed that I already was. You need to know that the car park is very small in all aspect, so be prepared to maneuver if there is a space available!
Just had an important appointment cancelled due to short staff, no alternative option apart from go to a hospital. No back up staff or alternative doctors to facilitate. No real effort in general. Find this doctors in general is poor in comparison to others. Hard to get an appointment in general and you are left waiting ages sometimes up to an hour!
Get your act together doctors! You are paid to carry out a service and that also means having a kind, caring attitude towards your patients. I would never recommend this surgery to anyone and currently looking for an alternative. The doctors here need to be trained on how to treat their patients in a kind manner. Sarcasm is unecessary particularly from Dr Sanders. Thoroughly unpleasant unless you happen to be a personal friend then you can push in front of someone keeping th waiting for 20 minutes with no apology just a miserable face. Don’t register here!!!
The worst Dr's surgery ever. Dr Walker in particular is an inadequate GP. My family have been misdiagnosed NUMEROUS times, and it has all been by him. I have been told by the good GP's Willard and Ashgheddi that my medication dosage is too low in regards to some blood results I have received. They were not available, so I had to see Walker. And every time I see him - he makes up another excuse not to help me. e.g. Stress, i'm allergic to eggs, my blood levels are fine. ALL OF WHICH ARE LIES. Not to mention he has severe lack of personal space. I am so done with this surgery and I am lodging a formal complaint with the NHS. I would leave the GP surgery but I am dependent on my regular medication. I would give this place 0 stars but that option is not available.
Dr Walker has been kindness itself during my husband's recent illness. Actually none of the doctors has been anything but helpful and caring. The reception staff are courteous and helpful, too.
