Initial experience positive, knowledgeable and informative staff. Purchased wines and secured delivery service. The issue for me was at point of return. I thought wrongly glasses were,also collected and made mistake of leaving them at venue, which resulted in a further 80 mile trip for me. Would be worth emphasising this to customers to ensure they understand. Might just be me but worth mentioning I thought. On returning glasses I found the individual to be very stern with no initial engagement. As she checked the boxes, she asked if the glasses had been washed. I confirmed they had been but she was clearly dubious and I had to select one or to confirm no liquid remnants or lipstick marks. She pointed out there were 2 missing, which I was aware of having noted this at point of washing and boxing glasses but again I felt scrutinised. There was no further conversation and a frosty return of deposit, minus the breakages, as I understood. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth and took the shine off what had been a fabulous day.
It was lovely looking around & choosing something different, & the staff were really helpful & friendly.
Great range of wines from all over the world, with prices and level of quality at all levels. Nice to try new wines when on tasting every day!. Friendly, helpful, unintrusive and eminently knowledgeable staff. I personally love their own-label Pinot Noir, from Romania!
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Whether it's beer, wine, champers or gin they will know exactly what you might like to try or if they don't have your usual tipple, will do what they can to source it asap for you.
The staff are always willing to help. I feel relaxed shopping here despite not knowing much about wine. I always find the perfect bottle.
What makes this place special is the staff. They know their stuff and, as importantly, are friendly and anxious to please. Great selection of booze at keen prices. Always enjoy a visit here
The staff members certainly seem to know there wines. Happy to recommend different wines to accompany the right food. Look out for the special promotions when you can pick up a real bargain.
