Just spent a love afternoon walking around barmouth, really nice clean and tidy seaside town ,car park on the front opposite the beach next to the RNLI STATION, beach lovely and flat great for all ages, the town nice to walk round lots of restaurants, coffee shops and little one off shops all selling something different, public toilets by the harbor spotless and free ,yes free
An excellent location but can be a bit tight, especially if you have a larger vehicle. Good prices and can pay by phone. Easy.
Large car park with rules that apply to the road too. Very expensive if you want to just visit for an hour as the minimum fee is £5.50. Only 10% goes to the council with a whopping 90% going to the car park operator.
Machine swallowed my coins and didn't register them! Also, no prices on display so you just have to guess. Conveniently right on the beach, even if a rip off.
Great car park, it is a real shame. There is no overnight parking in the winter months. Little money maker for the local council to welcome motorhomes, we spend money but not welcome overnight
Small car park but nice beach and café
Nice big carpark, sits between the town and the beach. Probable one of the cheaper carparks in the town
Great. Easy parking. Visited on a sunny June afternoon, mid week, duringterm time. Parked down by the lifeboat station. Beach was virtually deserted apart from a few dog walkers and 2 swimmers. Lovely and clean, no litter. Benches all along the promenade. Nice burger and chips from a kiosk on the front. Watch the seagulls; they're ruthless. Don't trow them food, don't let them even see you have food if you can help it; and certainly don't look them in the eye. Holiday times are very busy as it's so popular. The beach is amazing and child friendly/ safe. Get there early to avoid the parking queues.
We went to Barmouth 3 years ago and thought it was a lovely place for families. We went back yesterday and only stayed 10 minutes. We were surprised to see so much rubbish on the beach and crisp packets and plastic takeaway cups in the sea. It was dirty and after 4 hours of travelling a huge let down. At 10:30 am there was nothing open, so couldn't get breakfast. We decided leave and moved to another part of Wales.
Be aware that the pay as you park machines only take cash not card but you can download the app on the side of the machine and pay by phone
