I had the vegetable biryani with sauce for £6. I ordered via phone and was told 20 minutes. The takeaway was ready on arrival. Arrived home 5 minutes later and food lukewarm. The food must have been prepared way quicker than the time stated. The sauce was hot like requested Not the best biryani, not enough veg, but plenty of potatoes. May use again and try a different non vegetable meal

one of the worst takeaways i have ever had. chose combination chicken tikka balti and lamb Rogan josh. two trays of what can only be described as slop. a couple of pieces of questionable meat in each tray. both trays were filled to the brim so everything in the bag and everything that came into contact with anything in the bag was covered in oil/ghee chicken tikka starter - grey, sad, nondescript - hadn't been anywhere near a tandoori oven. this was a decision to try somewhere different after i had heard good things, you couldn't convince me to go back if you gave it me for free.
Curry was decent especially on the set menu between 5 of us. It was incredibly busy when we ordered but the time estimation given was spot on. This place is very popular with the locals and I fully recommend it.Food: 5/5
Clearly says on the menu for the set meals changes are a additional £1 then when i asked for a chicken jalfrazi insted of a balti they refused poor customer service whats the point in saying you can change items on the menu then refusingFood: 1/5
We came back to the Maharaja after having suffered from sub standard food from other local curry take aways. The first curry we had a few weeks back was top notch but tonight's fare was really bad. The chicken tikka rogan josh wasn't tikka , the sauce tasted like tinned tomatoes, very bland. The chicken tikka balti was bereft of pieces of chicken and the sauce was thin and non descript. Our search for a decent curry takeaway in Sutton Coldfield continues.......
I underpaid 30p for an order I put in today by accident. I feel awful. The food was amazing the service was great 10/10 would recommend! Chicken tikka balti was perfect
Probably my favourite curry place EVER! I told the server I like particularly hot full flavoured curry's and he recommended one which I now have every time I come here. I won't mention which one as I know he has to close the kitchen to make it . Lovely attentive staff and much better than some of the local competitors. I'm due to move 15 minutes away from here in a month or so but I will still come here.
Ordered from here for the first time tonight and we were all very impressed. The food was absolutely delicious as well as reasonably priced, it was delivered quite fast as well which was a bonus. I cannot name any faults, we will definitely be ordering again!
