My wife and I have been clients of Magus for almost 8 years now. We are very glad that we were introduced to them. Two work colleagues of mine were Magus clients and told us how pleased they were with the service they received. I am a UK national, my wife is a US citizen whilst a resident here, and our situation is complicated by having financial interests on both sides of the Atlantic. Magus have been able to oversee and advise on everything, and to give us clear simple summaries of our situation - this is incredibly helpful. We are able to ask Magus about any financial idea or need that we have and they can tell us exactly how to achieve what we want and what the impact on our situation would be. We can relax knowing that what had seemed like a very complex situation is now under control, and that we can check on it or explore new ideas at any time and know where we stand. Their advice has been excellent and we have much to thank them for - peace of mind about our finances being perhaps the most important.

A chalk and cheese experience compared to previous financial advisers, who I've found to only ever be in 'product selling mode'. The Magus team do genuinely ask everything relevant about your life and what you want to achieve, then create a visual plan, year by year, of how your finances will pan out. This is the first time I've ever had a detailed understanding of how my disparate pensions, investments and policies etc tally up together, and its hugely helpful to know if it's enough to cover the life I want to lead. The investment structure that Magus recommended has simplified my finances and has also performed strongly over the past 5 years. I'm also very happy with the team who I've found to be professional, responsive and good listeners.

A few years back I had no financial strategy and felt chaotic when it came to money…bits and pieces everywhere and no structure or plan. I hoped that by handing this over to someone I could trust that the journey and outcomes would improve! From the moment I met with Mike and the team, it was clear their approach was tailored to me and my family and what we wanted to achieve. They took time to listen and to understand before even considering the best approach for us. Since that time they have guided us with clarity and an actionable plan. They have also kept us calm in turbulent times and supported us in our growth phase(s) to do the right thing in line with the plan, adapting as appropriate along our journey. Today we are more confident and we now have a calm reassurance that things are heading in the right direction. It is one stress and anxiety we no longer have in our lives and that is a massive relief! To summarise, they are friendly and professional. They are a truly trusted partner for our family

I have received financial advice and planning from Magus for the past 19 years and I have come a long way in that time. I knew little of financial planning at the outset but Mike Aitken helped me think about the future and to consider the financial position that I would like to be in at retirement. It was good to sit down with Mike and develop a financial planning strategy that suited my needs. Magus has done an excellent job for me over the years and I can honestly say that I am now in a stronger financial position today than I would have been without their advice. I can confidently recommend this company to anyone who wants to discuss personal financial planning.
