Grade 1 listed building in the bustling market town of Pocklington. Dating mainly from the 12th to the 15th century, it is also known as the Cathedral Of the Wolds. Its foundations are Saxon and there are remnants of the Norman church. Some interesting masonry figures, stained glass windows and an attractive ceiling. Worth a visit.
Went to a christening for my great neice the vicar was absolutely lovely and such a relaxed and enjoyable service
I love this church it's beautiful building with amazing history. The church has a wonderful community and the services are always beautifully put together. There are lots of events and a fair trade shop.
Went to hear our daughter's banns being read. Made very welcome by local congregation. Lovely old church. Light and well kept.
A beautiful, medium sized parish church in the centre of town. A lovely place for quiet contemplation, or to listen to one of the excellent lunchtime concerts given by the musicians of Pocklington School.
A very peaceful church. So peaceful it was like being wrapped in a comforting warm blanket. Beautifully kept. The stained glass is just stunning. Thank you all who look after this exceptional historic building.
Stunning church, wonderful windows. Worth a walk in there if you're in Pocklington Town centre as it's right in the centre.
Back in the summer in the early 1980's, I sang the evensong service for 1 week with the RSCM Choir Camp. Not bad for a choir boy from Ohio in the USA. It was actually a lot of fun and got to meet up with some family who lived in Ledlow England. Very nice place and nice people too.
Purchased tickets for the Horror Show for Friday/Saturday evenings 9th/10th March2018 Very friendly helpful assistant in the church.
Lovely old church,went there for a christening,the vicar/dean whatever her title isin charge of proceedings was a credit to the church
