Wedding suit ruined by incompetence, delays, and lost items!nnI entrusted Madeley Laundry & Dry-Cleaning Telford with tailoring my wedding tux jacket via Moss Telford — a decision I deeply regret.nnThe job was simple: tuck in the waist and take ONE inch off the sleeves. Instead, after sitting on the jacket for over two weeks, they removed closer to TWO inches, completely ruining the proportions of the jacket. This is basic tailoring, and the error was obvious the moment I tried it on.nnTo make matters worse, they then took a further two working days just to confirm that nothing could be done to fix their mistake, leaving me scrambling barely a week and a half before my wedding to find an alternative solution.nnAs if that wasn’t enough, they also misplaced the waistcoat I had handed in with the jacket — another unacceptable lapse in care and professionalism.nnThis was not a cheap, disposable garment. It was a wedding suit, and the stress caused by their delays, poor workmanship, and lack of urgency at such a critical time was immense.nnNo accountability, no urgency, and no appreciation of the significance of what they were handling.nI would strongly advise anyone especially for important or time-critical tailoring to go elsewhere.
Visited the launderette for the first time recently. I had absolutely no idea what to do and the guys in there were so kind and helpful.nPlus my washing was washed and dried so quickly. Would definitely recommend.
Brilliant service, I use the laundrette weekly and they are always polite, friendly and helpful. I’ve had alterations done and zip’s replaced here and they have always done a great job for a good price. Definitely recommend :
Respectfully, I’m leaving honest review so 1 that other people don’t have their property damaged and 2 because when you ask for something and they don’t listen 2 times it’s a complete joke.nnI asked for a t shirt to have some iron on webbing put on the inside of my t shirt because it was brought on holiday but it didn’t have it they confirmed over phone they could do this so took it into shop showed them what I wanted they said it will get done outside of their shop with people/person they use but will confirm it can be done in week or sooner 1week and bit passed had called saying do I want lining in t shirt I said no I want the fabric you iron on that stops it rubbing scratching you from the inside.nnThey said ok that’s fine it won’t be done for while are you in rush I said no but want it done before 10th when I was after being done which was at-least another 2-3 weeks.nnAfter patiently waiting I called them on the week for the 10th with 3 days who’re I go away and they said it’s been done but never apologised for not calling me to let me know went down it wasn’t what I paid for ! Took it home to try on to see even if I could work around it the t shirt I could event get off me I had to get someone to help me get itnnThe t shirt stitching is completely ruined they made 2 holes 1 under arm out and 1 on other side, and to add to all this they have partially iron on some suit lining fabric inside the t shirt and not even properly iron it on so it most of it just came of.nnI took this T shirt after this to 2 other shops who deal with these’s types of repairs and they confirmed it’s worse repair work they have seen in Telford !nnI went back next day after calling Madeley laundry and showed them yet again what I wanted the bloke said ok sure we will sort it and I said well it needs to be done before 10th leaving now 2 days.nThe next day they called said it was done and what a surprise it wasn’t done correctly yet again !nnCompletely ruined my t shirt and charged me full price still for ruining my t shirt and doing it all wrongnnI’ve given them 2 stars as all through this was done outside of shop with someone they use it’s not actually their work but they have presented me with this back as they use this person or people for repairs they said, Madeley dry cleaning it’s selfs actually so really god for cleaning etc just not repairs like that !nnI have plenty of photos to show the damaged done !
Honestly the best laundry experience I’ve had. The place is clean and smells very nice which is a big green flag. The staff are very welcoming and respectful, one of the staff saw me struggling with my washing and came over straight away to help with a smile on their face.
