Be careful with expired products! I bought a jar of mini flapjacks here recently that was 2 days past its expiry date. I only noticed once I got home. I contacted customer service and explained the situation and that I no longer have the receipt because I genuinely didn’t think I’d need one from this high‑quality retailer. After sending photographs of the product, I was told a refund can only be issued with a receipt. What a waste of my time and money.
Went in today to shop and buy bread. When I asked for the bread to be sliced the man who was dealing with empty boxes on floor picked up my bread and did not wash his hands before putting it in the slicer. I have no idea what rubbish he was dealing with before. When I made a complaint to the manager she was very very unhelpful and told me there was no need to wear gloves. I had not mentioned gloves only hand washing. She made me feel I was being unreasonable and I left few g let down.
Excellent range of food items. Store is well laid out. Doesn't feel crammed. Good service at the till.
Have used this store for years and every weekend the shelves are empty it's only 11.30 and my partner goes shopping for me as I'm disabled. There's no M&S Italian #4 coffee 'again' no 2 pack of chicken breasts, no cakes on any of the bakery racks no Yorkshire puddings. This was never an issue at the Newport road store which has now been closed. Llanishen is never stocked on a Sunday. We used this location for years then stopped to use Newport road store as items in llanishen we usually bought, weren't on shelves.nPhotos taken between 11.30 to 11.50nNothing stating that deliveries hadn't been made, no signage anywhere concerning lack of filled shelves
Not particularly well-run. The bakery staff can be helpful although not always but stock is an issue, and the shop seems bent on getting customers to use the self-service tills, which are unpopular judging from how queues build up the moment a normal checkout is staffed.
