As I got to the till, the cashier told me that he would be closing and I needed to do to self-checkout - at 6:40pm, a while before closing time... The self checkout tills are great why you only have a few items but very inconvenient when you have two large baskets filled with purchases. It’s difficult to scan some items, and only space at the till for one basket. If I knew that I would have received such revolting disappointing service I would’ve gone to the Waitrose around the corner. Who offer a £1 discount on parking g and who have many cashiers who are friendly and willing to serve you.
Good storenQuality food available
Being a food hall only I thought it would be bigger than it was. Very tight to get round. Very noisy air conditioning too so hard to hear the person I was with. But then I would rather that than be too hot in there - but why does it have to be so noisy - can't you use what other stores use?nBut the big issue is the car park! I only went to this store rather than Castlepoint as the signage gives the impression if you spend over £10 you get reimbursed. But that is misleading as M&S do not refund you anything! That is pretty poor! They said it's because they don't own the car park. If there is a M&S with an entrance right into the car park that certainly looks like they own it and anyway what does it matter whether they own it or not - they could still reimburse you a £1 gesture. Especially if you spend alot in there. There prices are high enough!!! Waitrose up the road doesn't own their car park but they still give you a refund off your shop. No respect for your customers then M&S. Won't be back as I think that is a terrible policy!
Thank you to all the lovely staff in Marks & Spencer Christchurch. This is my local M&S and the store is brilliant. Well managed especially during Covid-19. Food pretty much well stocked and good range. Great for picking up parcel orders. Thank you again and keep up the good work. You are much appreciated!!!!!
