Used to regularly buy the meal for two as a treat at the weekend. It consisted of a starter,main course and a desert for 12 quid. The steak pie main was excellent It had nice crust, nice chunks of tender steak and a delicious gravy. Excellent value and tasty. Then a number of weeks ago the meal deal cost was increased from £12 to £15. I thought well ok, I'm not happy it's increased in price but it is still good value. So a couple of weeks ago we bought the steak pie meal deal again and WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The crust was still crusty but the succulent chunks of steak had been turned into mush. No longer was the filling nice chunks with gravy, it had turned into a nice crusty casing full of mushy dog meat. The taste had changed it was different and the meat was indistinguishable from the gravy. I used to love steak pie but this has put me off, I had a few mouthfuls and fed the rest of it to my dogs.nThis was no ordinary pie of horrid mush, it was an M&S pie of horrid mush.nCome on M&S, Really!. Get a hold of your supplier and your quality control and give them a good talking too. Let's get back to good quality, satisfying, tasty food.
Recently became gluten and lactose intolerant. Approached Michelle instore for some advice . She then walked me around the whole shop giving me advice on all the products I can and can't eat. Unbelievable help and such a nice woman. 10/10
Love M&S and always have! Lovely staff and the quality of food is always good. Only downside with this store is to do with the layout and the spacing on the isles. The fridges with doors are a great idea however, the doors open out the way on both sides meaning its hard to move around when its busy in the middle especially with trollies, baskets, wheelchairs/walking frames and prams added into the mix with people. There just isn't enough room so I think this needs changed but other than that its a great store
