Does what it says on the tin, pie and mash with all the gravy you could want. I love how the menu works, it's simple, to-the-point and the staff are really lovely and friendly. The atmosphere is great if you're looking for casual, friendly and traditional. The food definitely hits the spot if you've grown up with a love of pies and mash. It's not fancy or stylish. It's satisfying and comforting.

What more is there to say about Manze's. Iconic, unique, a dying breed. Took three colleagues who were new to pie and mash and another who is a frequent visitor to an East end establishment that will not be named. All enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. 
To understand pie and mash is to begin to understand the Londoner, pie and mash is an intensely tribal thing, with your favourite shop a subject for intense debate.
Long may it endure in this time of gentrification, we must not forget our roots.

Manzes is simply the best pie and mash in the universe.
There is no better, and the staff are just wonderful.
