We met up with my Son's family for lunch, this was second occasion so that itself is testamony to how much we liked it. Service was excellent and food well prepared and presented. The place is very popular and was still busy at 3pm on the Sunday we ate there. There is a full menu and plenty of choice of starters mains and desserts. Plus options for children.
The pan fried wild scallops were an excellent starter and the slow cooked pork belly, although haram, was beautiful. The use of the carrot & red pepper purée, truffle potatoes and Bordelaise sauce made it very exciting. The waiting time was surprisingly quick for how busy the restaurant was. The bar staff and waiters are very friendly although I must deduct a star because my order was incorrectly taken however this issue was resolved promptly by Jess. Shoutout to Alex and Greg in the kitchen for the excellent meal.
Good Sunday roast. Roasties could have been a bit more crispier. Service was decent. The atmosphere was generally good. Definitely a better evening vibe than the day.Food: 4/5
I held a surprise birthday party last night at the Lyttelton arms in the function down stairs, everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a lovely night thank you to all of my colleagues for making the night so special but a massive thank you to Beth our lovely bartender who attended to all my guests needs through out the night and Lauren in the kitchen for cooking our delicious food, everyone made it very special thank you all very much !!! Xxx
Such a wonderful spacious restaurant, great menu and wonderful atmosphere. I had brought two elderly gentlemen who are in the 70s and 80s year old. They both had their 21st birthdays back in the days in formal dress! This was a real trip down memory lane, staff were very welcoming. Seating inside and outside, good parking space and disabled access and a fabulous glass of prosecco. Cheers!
Lovely setting, great relaxed atmosphere, excellent waiter. Food arrived well presented and without delay, though not so fast that we felt rushed. Lovely family meal, diners on our table selected wide variety of different dishes from the menu, including one from the child's menu, something for everyone and all great quality, freshly made food. Some chose coffees, several different cocktails, no wine this time, but a decent choice of wine on offer. Overall a lovely, leisurely family meal and we all thought well priced for the quality of service, food and environment - well done team Lyttleton!
Was here for food sat outside lovely area. Loved the hummus look so pretty and tasted lovely. Also had squid so tasty!! The salmon nice but I found the vegetables salty, I do love rock salt but it's alot more stronger than regular salt so need to be abit more light handed with the salt. I tried my friends dessert looks so pretty and rich in flavour very nice if you still have room for dessert. Drinks wise loving the cocktails and great customer service felt very looked after, chilled atmosphere would definitely go again.
Excellent service and a wide choice of food on the menu. All cooked beautifully. I thought it was reasonably priced too. Tables nicely spaced apart, so didn't feel cramped. We will definitely book again.Food: 5/5
Fed up of wasting my money here! Gave it another chance last night and yet again left disappointed. I worked in Hospitality for 12 years and this by far is the worst service i've ever seen. I have been 3 times in the past month with different groups. The first - DIRTY BURGER nothing dirty about it and was very small and dry no one came and checked on us we had to keep going to find someone to serve us. The second time - 16oz CHATEAUBRIAND FOR TWO - the three others on our table had their food and yet 35 mins later we still hadn't received ours once again had to go look for staff. 10 min later it came out - cold. we weren't given steak knives and the staff never apologised just dropped the plate didn't ask if we needed anything else and walked off - leaving the other dirty plates on the table. never saw a member of staff again. The third time, last night, the final straw. SPICED COCONUT CURRY - I was asked if I wanted to add any chicken as I wasn't vegan, and I said yes. waited longer than the others on the table when my food came out the driest lump of chicken had just been put on top of my food. it looked like cat sick. the staff walked off and didn't ask if the other two meals were okay - the KING PRAWN, CRAB & CHORIZO LINGUINE was not, and most of it was left. and I hadn't got any cutlery, again didn't see anyone again not even to clear the plates. The food is not worth the price and the service is abysmal.
Brilliant pub in Hagley, good customer service and food even for a busy Sunday afternoon. I had ordered a house soda lychee and mint which tasted refreshing but wasn’t as strong in flavour as I thought it would be. The food was brilliant, even being alittle pricey, but you do get what you paid for. Me and my friend both ordered the chicken roast and it was lovely. Plenty of seating options available, inside and outside.
