I had a fantastic day yesterday at Lydiard Park, Swindon. My crew and I went to film an interview and we automatically fell in love with the venue, the staff was friendly as well. Lydiard Park is over 26,000 acres what a beautiful place, it has a fountain as well and I saw a lot of nice birds. I highly recommend this Park for your relaxation, family picnic and huge events, it will definitely serve a lot of purpose.
Wonderful free public park on the edge of Swindon. Great open space for games, picnics and walks and plenty of great play equipment for the kids. Take a break at the cafe or grab an ice cream. Don't miss a visit to Lydiard House to see life from a bygone age.
Lovely park, nice walks and good facilities. Ample parking which is reasonably priced you can pay via app. I find something new every time I go.
Lovely park but beware parking charges. The signs are easily missed because of overgrown trees and the pay machines can get hidden by cars. The parking attendants spend more time finding than advising people to pay, not impressed Swindon Council.
Great place for a peaceful walk and a picnic. Couple of good cafes, walled garden, lakeside walks and a well equipped play park for the kids. Lovely space for a picnic when it’s sunny.
Hadn't been to the park for many years so it was a pleasant surprise to find how good the the park is for a summer walk. Particularly enjoyed the walk around the lake. Definitely would go back again. Hopefully won't leave it as long next time!
The best Council House I have ever been in! And would win the best landscaped garden competition! A great facility for local people and tourists alike.
A beautiful place to take your dog for a walk or even just to have a wonder yourself. Throughout the year they have a variety of events going on such as a funfair, fireworks and light show at Christmas. Really joy coming here.
Kids absolutely loved it. Lots of space, huge play park and a cafe that sells icecream. However, the disabled parking was miles away from the kids park.
Beautiful park, lots of green areas to run around and play or have a picnic, great place for a lovely walk and have an ice cream : toilets near the cafe and 2 big playgrounds
