What a lovely park. I loved this place and If like me you love wildlife especially water birds you will absolutely love it. The lake is huge but a really pleasurable walk with lots of embankments that you can walk out onto to watch the birds. So many different birds too I saw white swans black swans cormorants ducks geese gulls also water voles and doves. There’s also wild flower garden which is so good to see and great for photography lovers like myself there’s lots of bees dragonflies water boatmen and an endless amount of other insects. Fab place can’t recommend enough.
Beautiful lake. Under the sunlight walking along the lake with family in breeze is such a wonderful experience. Simple activity like this but yet fully immersed in the green environment.
It was a great experience. Perfect weather. Seagulls, pigeons, ravens, geese and swans all on best behaviour. Not sure about the squirrels. They even have ice cream for dogs but I had a bacon roll and that was pretty good.
Great family walk location. Easy parking and very accessible from J15 of the M4. Lovely lake walks, bike riding trails and a small ice cream cafe. The steam railway was brilliant, only £2 a ride! Would definitely recommend for family outings
Go to place when you need to just be one with nature. Lots of hidden quiet spots to feel grounded with Gaia and there's a long trail for bikes sometimes slippery so be careful, running, walking or just plain forest exploration. Great for kids to let them blow off steam. Must go.
Great open space for dog walks, jogging, nature reserve, pre-booking kids train beautiful landscapes and lake. Currently having a notice of suspected bird flue caution in place. Bird feeding and going close to wild birds not allowed. Good cheap parking area £1 for an hour and £2 for 24hrs.
Very poor access for wheelchair users, only a stretch of tarmac surface for a distance of around 300m, rest of paths are unsuitable for wheelchair users. Couldn't take my disabled mother around park as surfaces were so poor. On a positive note there's a disabled toilet and small cafe shop! Council priorities seem focused on spending in excess of £120,000 on a diving platform that can't be used or accessed and will continue to be a pigeon coop. Such a waste of money! Don't visit this park if you are a wheelchair user as you'll feel severely restricted. Shame as it's a beautiful park, but limited to those who are able bodied. Council should be looking at installing further stretches tarmac paths over the next few years.
A very big and a wonderful open place for a get-together, picnic, exercising, walking the dog or whatever you feel like doing. There is a big lake where you will find different types of birds. There is a small outlet selling food and drinks. Toilet facilities and ample parking space available. A nice place to unwind with family and friends.
Huge beautiful park with shady woodlands areas and big open grass areas. So many ducks, swans both black and white, Canada geese and squirrels can be seen here. Ice creams and drinks available at the park.
These photos were taken in the tree collection on your right if you go anti clockwise around Coate water, cross the grass just after the cafe and water play area. Or from the car park follow the path by the pay machines behind the toilets and cafe for about 500 metres
