In the historic town of Skipton, Lychee provides a picturesque setting to enjoy fine Cantonese cuisine. Please call to book or to order food to take away.

Story

A family run, fully licensed restaurant with over 25 years experience serving Cantonese cuisine, we pride ourselves on serving freshly prepared, delicious meals.

Originating from the Guangdong province in South Eastern China, which borders Hong Kong, Cantonese cuisine is one of many Chinese culinary traditions although it is perhaps the most recognised in the Western world.

Our frequently updated menu offers many regional Cantonese classics such as Sweet and Sour Pork and Roast Duck with Lychee in Plum sauce as well as a variety of fusion and provincial dishes including Japanese Katsu Chicken Curry, Singapore Vermicelli, spicy Szechuan and Kunbo. In addition we provide a seasonal specials board and a full vegetarian menu. However, if your preferred dish does not appear on our menus, please do not hesitate to ask as we will endeavour to fulfil your request.

One of the best Chinese restaurants going, and that includes Manchesters China Town and the 'big name' restaurants. Fantastic quality food and reasonable prices
Service was very friendly and quick. Wine was VERY reasonably priced. Food was fantastic.. up there with some of the best we've had .. well done chef. Ambience was lovely overlooking the canal. Overall price was below average. Well done..great place
Love eating out at Lychee, it's a proper treat! The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is extremely high quality, delicious and not greasy at all like a lot of Chinese restaurants/takeaways. We go for a set menu every time and the portions are huge!! If there is a group of 4 of us we get the menu for 3 people and just add on another starter, as this is plenty. Our favourites are the incredible mixed startern all so yum, even down to the pickled radish, sweet and sour chicken and prawn with cashew nuts. Although the prices are slightly higher, they really do reflect the quality of the dishes, and you can easily dine with a drink for under £30. I went for my birthday recently and because the staff overheard me say "late to my own birthday!", I was surprised with a sparkler in some ice cream and happy birthday, a real lovely touch! I'm sadly moving from my house a 5 minute walk away but will still definitely be back in the future! The food and service at the Lychee are very good. The only downside for me was the restaurant was cold. I was wearing four layers but I can't say I was warm. Plus I'd like the lighting to be more subdued.Food: 5/5
The food is AMAZING. Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. Add in the great staff and customer service and I highly recommended this place.
Wow, easily the best Asian food I've ever had. The mixed starters and prawn cakes were excellent. If I wasn't full from the generous portions I would have ordered extra to take away. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We didn't book, so we're lucky to get a table. Vegetarian options: We didn't eat any but there was a whole menu page for plant based meals.

Very good food, easy booking, waiters very nice and helpful, giving us advice and patience while we decided from the large menu options! Good portions and super tasty! Also a nice location looking at the canal.
We had the 2 course festive menu, absolutely fantastic, the attached pic is my starter.
