A lesson in life is, if you are looking for something its always in the last place you look. I made the mistake of trying all the so called plumbing suppliers before I found Lunns. I needed a cartridge for a shower I could not identify. On arrival I was greeted politely and professionally. On presenting the old cartridge it was quickly identified and sourced in their extensive stock. NB: all the other suppliers "you can't tell me what make it is, I can't search for it mate". So a big Thank you to Jamie. Fairly priced as well. I will return and will recommend.
Went to a large plumbing outlet with a tap cartridge that I wanted to replace. They informed me that it was not standard and directed me towards Lunns. Even though I didn't have my tap head with me they matched the cartridge quickly and were very helpful. I would return there if I have a plumbing requirement in the future.
We ordered a flush value to replace the one we got about 5 years ago from Lunns costing a very elevated £197.76. This one arrived wet, smelly and covered in grime! We are concerned to install it as it appears used and may not last. I contacted the company 6 times in total to be told I cannot have a refund or replacement because it is a bespoke part. I have checked their website to find that there are numerous parts the same available! We paid £10 postage which was for 4-5 days and it took 10 days. We wished we had changed the entire toilet now because it would have been a whole lot cheaper.
I finally found the exact part from Lunns after trying numerous local and online plumbing suppliers who all told me it was obsolete. The ceramic kitchen mixer tap valve was identified by Lunns, quickly ordered and despatched. It was quickly fitted by myself and is a perfect fit. After several months we can finally use the cold tap in the kitchen! I thoroughly recommend Lunns for their excellent friendly service.
Failed delivery times - rude customer service. We ordered a filter for our sink tap nozzle at our holiday home this half term, quoted £5.90 for postage which is for items over 1kg. The filter only weighs a few grams. Told it would take 7 -10 working days. It didn't arrive for over 3 weeks, in fact after we had go back. We had to compensate our guests £30 for not being able to use the sink. I emailed to say that I wasn't happy but still needed the item. I thought I should be refunded the postage as it was so late with no explanation or communication. I was refused abruptly and told I would only get a refund if I returned the part at my own cost. Absolutely no idea about customer service, rip-off postage and no compromise made. I was told they actually made a loss on sending it out as they had to order it internationally, but they had not informed me that it would be delayed. I would never have ordered it if I knew it would be late. Don't trust this company with your money or time. Don't even deserve the one star
When we ordered our bathroom suite the staff were very helpful, listened well, gave practical advice and were not ....pushy towards expensive alternatives. When the suite arrived, they checked it all for flaws / damage before they delivered it. One small order issue was sorted effiecently with no fuss. I'm very glad that I did not go on line for the suite. As it worked out , the costs were the same as on line for better products and superb customer service made ordering a doddle.
Ordered a tap cartridge which didn't fit. Only then did I find out how difficult it was to return it! Their return policy is a joke and they make it so hard to do, it's been 6 weeks now and I've still not received a refund. They charge a handling fee for refunds too! Don't waste your time with these guys. Total waste of time and money.
Was more than happy with the service I received from Lunns, they found me a spare part for my bathroom tap which was about 20 years old and obsolete. Happy that I did not need to replace sink and bath taps. Saved from landfill for a few more years. Thank you so much Lunns.
Needed a new diverter tap for a Heritage bath. Tried local plumbers, no luck, then I was referred to Lunns. They were on the case straight away. Tap arrived this morning, well packaged and the perfect fit. Overall it took several weeks to finalise but it was worth it just to get the correct part. Thank you. Good customer service.
Bought a couple of valves which I returned unused within a week. they cost nearly £50 I was told that it was company policy not to give a refund & I had to accept a credit note which is valid for six months and is of little value to me. I asked why I had not been told about the company policy when purchasing the valves & was told it was written on the wall behind the counter & they were too busy to inform every customer of their policy. It would have taken about ten seconds. I am a senior citizen and explained to the assistant that I had travelled from Basingstoke to get a refund but to no avail. So this is a warning to other customers to be absolutely sure when you buy goods at Lunns of Farnborough that you will never require a refund.
