Stunning place with fantastic food, drinks and service in a warm and quirky atmosphere, a real hidden gem. Myself and my husband came in last week and had a couple of drinks. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. We returned Sunday for lunch and it was amazing. We will definitely return on many occasions. All staff were very friendly and it's lovely and clean with a real log fire. Dogs are also welcome.
Nice friendly pub with all the old furnishings and log fire, local area references scattered around the pub
Absolutely wonderful pub, very cosy, wonderful decor and very friendly staff. Pity it closes really early on an evening.
Hate to tell people how nice of a place this is incase it gets too busy we can't get in haha. Foods brilliant, tasty and cooked to perfection and that gravy .... , staff are so down to earth its hard not to like them they're fantastic, prices are really good on food and drinks. Pub itself is lovely and has a real character to it, clean and welcoming, has an outdoor stage for live bands obviously weather dependant outdoor area for smokers with cover above, ample parking, has a rustic and fully equipped function room covering the top floor, the place has it all and is a proper yorkshire watering hole. Love it
Love this place. We live 8 miles away from this place but treat it as our local. The people who frequent the pub regularly are lovely and it makes it such an inviting place. Sunday lunch is brilliant and the rest of the food is just getting better and better as time goes on since the pandemic. Try it, you will not regret it.
Had a Sunday lunch which was lovely v quick service and friendly staff.would recommend.
A nice visit in Barnsley and found this pub, loved it
Friendly staff and very clean. Good drinks and a good price. Have live bands on in the spring, summer and autumn. If you've not tried then do.
This was my first visit, I was with my son who has been before on many occasions. Friendly, welcoming, fun. Food was fab, I can't fault it.
