Ruins full of history! Very pleased to see, that although this castle is a ruin, it is still cared for and open for the public to appreciate. Plenty of signs about the history scattered about the site... Very informative. Good entry fee, as it's not too expensive, and also reflects the amount of time you'd spend here... It's a quick but interesting visit. I enjoyed my wonder around the grounds.

Didn't go inside the castle (6 pounds for adults and 5 for seniors) but took a walk around the castle walls, and got a breathtaking view across the river of the castle and the town. Quite an impressive castle remains in the centre of town, looks well maintained and is extremely accessible. Doesn't seem like a very large castle though, probably could be done in a couple of hours. The market square right outside the castle entrance is also worth a quick browse, with some used book stalls, local cheese and meats, and clothes. There's a place with some benches between the castle entrance and the market to sit down for a quick bite and rest.

A well preserved castle with lots to see and do within the walls. It's a great place to let children explore and stretch their legs. My daughter particularly loved the passageways and hidden rooms, making up her own narrative as she discovered more. The play area and grassed areas are great for a picnic and the cafe served excellent food with accompanying superb customer service. Certainly worth a half day visit.

Really impressive castle. One of the most intact I have seen. Needs a little more information around and maybe to be a bit more interactive. The staff were lovely and welcoming and they allowed dogs so it was great :)

What can one say about Ludlow Castle? It is such an amazing place to visit if you really want to indulge into history and culture. The staff was very polite, informed and accommodating. The price of the adult ticket at 6pounds is reasonable. The castle itself is majestic and views are mesmerising and breathtaking... The local authority needs to have a greater input and try to preserve this rare gem as this is a great part of this beautiful country...
