Visited on a perfectly sunny day which meant we could have great views from all the various vantage points from within the castle. As it was described as a ruin wasn't expecting much but it was a real highlight. You can wander around the whole castle, climb up all the spiral staircases and have a really good time. Nice little gift shop as well and friendly staff. A great place and admission price is good value.
A place worth visiting. Beautiful views around, large territory. The castle has history, our guide told a lot of interesting things about life in it. Listening to her you seem to be immersed in that time. We spent two hours with pleasure.
We visited on a lovely sunny afternoon in October. We bought the 50p guide and spent the afternoon visiting each part of the castle. It was fascinating to learn about the history and how the castle has changed over time. There was also a wedding there that day. The views are amazing. Would recommend if you are visiting Ludlow.

A beautiful Castle steeped in history and wonder. I absolutely love visiting Ludlow Castle.nnThe stone staircases are quite steep but the views are magnificent once you reach the top of the Castle edges.nnLove the green spaces around the Castle and the family activities.nGreat picnic areas too.nnIt is perfect that the Castle areas are family and dog Friendly.nnThere's a gorgeous cafe and gift shop which is beautifully stocked well.nnA definite visit for an tourist coming to visit Ludlow. I would highly recommend Ludlow Castle and all it has to offer.
