We usually love their spice bags, as they really are spicy! However, lately it's obvious they are using cold precooked chips and thinking they can reheat them when adding the spice. We collect and they are cold and hard before we leave the shop. The chicken is hot, but 9/10s of chips are cold. Please stop doing this.
Rang for delivery ordered salt and chilli wings and bbq wings recieved bbq ribs and salt and chilli ribs . Also ordered noodles and received rice instead . Not great customer service . Won't be returning .
DO NOT ORDER!!!! If I could give a lower rating I would, Ordered food and it took over an hour was only a small delivery. Food came and was freezing cold wjen we rang we were told we were only looking for free food and asked if we were sure if it was cold they said they were sensing our a new one and wanted the order given back to them. The delivery driver came to the door and asked me to wait while he checked the food I handed him back then proceded to ask me was I sure I hadn't eaten it. Took the food it and it was the wrong order all together didn't bother ringing just threw it out.
Good takeaway. Bailed us out on many a late evening. Nice people.They do their best to keep standards up even when busy. Don’t think the harsh one star reviews are fair- every busy business is allowed get it wrong here and there. Happy to have this business local.
My kids wanted food from lucky Star this evening and we said we would try it for a change. Kids had spice bags which they enjoyed and I ordered salt and chilli ribs. When we got home I found that most of my ribs had no meat whatsoever on them. I paid for a box of bones with some veg. I will never go back to this takeaway.
This has always been a decent Chinese takeaway but regrettably they have increased their prices quite a lot. This business traded successfully through the Pandemic probably did quite well out of it so am at a loss to why they are considerably increasing prices now. Makes me think twice now as there are alternative Chinese restaurants that are providing restaurant standard takeaway around the same price point.

Always good quality and it's perfect for us because we can never agree on what kind of take away to get and Lucky Star has a great variety of food.
This is one of the best Chinese take aways the food is great and such a choice. They will even change a dish to suit your needs and taste. Enjoy, MICHAEL.
