Usually come to this place when visiting freinds in Bristol. The times I have been the food has been really good. The staff do try and rush you a bit which is why I have given it 4 stars. But my freinds have been enough times to know how to order and not let the staff rush you. That being said the staff are friendly and it is also good value for money. Give it a try if you haven't already.
Upon entering the Lucky Dragon for a dinner reservation, it became immediately obvious that the owners are fanatical about red paper lanterns. The decor harked back to the intimate bistro-style setting of a Chinese restaurant in the 1980s. The restaurant appeared to be very busy, which is surely nothing but a good sign. Despite this, we were very quickly shown to our table and a drink order taken. The menu contains a large variety of English-Chinese favourites and our choices were, on the whole, delicious and plentiful. Throughout our stay the service was very attentive and neither of us felt like we were left waiting, desperately trying to grab the attention of a passing member of staff. For the quantity and quality of available dishes, the overall price was very reasonable. This restaurant was adequate for a visiting couple, but would be much better suited to a group visit.
Visited this restaurant last night after staying locally on business. Tried to order buffet as fancied a selection of starters but was told a minimum of two people needed. Fair enough maybe but they were happy enough for me to choose several starters at £5 each when buffet was unlimited with loads of selection at £15, I declined. Combined with a pint of flat diet coke, being asked to pay for prawn crackers that are also included in buffet and then a main that whilst plentiful was not particularly good, not bad by any means but not good. I was also beginning to feel a little put out with the lack of manners of one of the two waitresses, could of been a cultural or even language thing but the lady with the apparently lesser English language skills was actually far more pleasant. Overall perfectly fine but solo travellers don't get the best deal and food only ok. Would go again if in the area and with colleagues but wouldn't bother otherwise.
Good food, best Chinese buffet food in Bristol even if the place does feel a bit like a scout hut. Could maybe do with a bit of updating but you can't knock the quality of the food and the service.
Thought we would give it a try, but we found it to be the most bland Chinese we've ever had. Unfriendly staff and a dingy room made us leave most of the food and the place. I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants up and down the county and this is the worst.
Food was very good. However, staff were not very friendly, kept reminding us that they close at 2pm. Toilets were filthy, restaurant dark and also not very clean. Not good value for money!! Wouldn't go there again,
Great food, never been disappointed here. Decor a bit tired and limited drinks selection but great atmosphere and staff.
Okay..... Listen Hear.... This place is to die for the best all you can eat Chinese I have ever had. Im not going to lie the place is not the best location but look at it this was I Will Judge On The Service and Food And That Is Just Out of this world. If you haven't been here then you need to.
Good food in restaurant and take away, friendly staff. I usually have take away 3 times a month and quality is very consistent.
Decor could use a little love but the food is good reasonably priced and there is an all you can eat buffer so you won't leave hungry.
