The Golden Dragon restaurant is a fantastic dining option for those who appreciate quality Chinese cuisine. I recently visited the restaurant and tried their chilli shredded beef and chicken along with their fried rice, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. Firstly, the service at the Golden Dragon was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were well taken care of throughout our meal. They were always on hand to assist us with any queries we had and made sure that our dining experience was a pleasant one. Now, onto the food. The chilli shredded beef and chicken were both outstanding dishes. The meat was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and flavor to tantalize our taste buds. The fried rice was also delicious, with a perfect balance of textures and flavors. Overall, I highly recommend the Golden Dragon restaurant for anyone looking for quality Chinese cuisine in a welcoming and cozy environment. With their excellent service and delectable dishes, it's no wonder that they have such a loyal following of customers.

Nice place to have a Chinese Hongkong foods in Edinburgh city. This place is quiet and clean. Staffs are helpful and suggest what foods are better. I find a bit pricier but overall enjoyed.

Fantastic restaurant with authentic Cantonese food that is fantastic in flavour, look and presentation. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish and good value for money

Aside from the regular menu, they offer daily courses as well. We were quite lucky that they had sweet and sour prawns!! The servings are quite good as well, each order was enough for 2 people. Very authentic Chinese resto, would recommend for some Asian food!Food: 5/5

one of the worst chinese i ever had. spare ribs were like yesterdays leftovers , main courses were tiny and quality was shocking. chips were not included in main course, so meal was way overpriced. plus a 10% "service charge", which wouldnt bother me if the quality of the food was actually good

Absolutely amazing service. There was a wait at the door and I can see why. Only took 15 mins before being seated. The hostess came out several times to check on us before attending to a table. The food came out almost immediately and tasted AMAZING. Definitely well worth the experience and bad service we had from other Chinese restaurants in the area. Could not fault a thing. Staff were tentative especially as my Mother is disabled.

This is the first restaurant which charges £1 for a mere small spoonful of chili oil. It’s like going into a fish and chips restaurant and paying £1 for a spoonful of ketchup! Servers were polite but I can’t say the same about the owners. Food was just ok. The lady was even trying to take my receipt away after paying which I had to request for it and was return to me reluctantly. I will not go back to this place unfortunately.

I had lunch at The Golden Dragon with a coupe of friends and it was superb! I stated with a wonderful dumpling soup then had their much praised deep fried chilli beef, one of my favourite meals and undoubtedly one of the most delicious servings I have ever had. Service was relaxed and took some time for the meals to arrive but that was fine by me as it was obvious each meal had been freshly prepared The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was that they automatically add 10% service charge to the bill however the vast majority of city centre restaurants do this these days. Looking forward to my next visit.

I took my brother here for his 60th birthday lunch, yes it was pricey and the place whilst intimate is basic but the food well made up for it, if you've not tasted real Chinese food then give this place a go, amazing dim sum, shredded beef, fried rice dishes even the curry sauce is not the ubiquitous yellow, deeeelish. Only downside was the desserts could be better, but staff lovely and friendly, to quote those famous words I will be back!
