If you like a brisk or slow walk you will enjoy this lovely coastal walk. From the Lord Nelson to Sands and bays around the coastline are beautiful. The Stack Fort out to sea dates back to the 1850's, believed to be a hotel now, fantastic!!! Plenty to do and see if you love beach trails.

I was welcomed very curtiously by the bar person. Nothing was too much trouble even though, i was purchasing a coffee. The reception was unmanned unless asked for, a real shame. That was my job once upon a time and i remember being proud to b of a y assistance to a customer. However, the ambience was just what i needed. Quiet genteel and welcoming. Thank you.

I stayed two nights at the hotel and had a meal on the first night in the restaurant The room was very large and spacious and clean. However the air filtration system in the bathroom was very dusty and I couldn't hear the noise of it being on. This I think not working led to a horrible smell in the bathroom and slightly in the room as well. Luckily my family lived nearby who we were visiting and so we had a shower and brushed are teeth there etc as the bathroom was nauseating. It's a real shame as the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was otherwise alright. I did speak to someone at reception on the first morning and they said they'd get housekeeping to look at it and I even mentioned then it might need maintenance really. Didn't seem anything was done and the system was still dusty and untouched. The first night we also used the restaurant with other family members of which there were 4 adults and three children. Ordered my daughter's meal with kinder egg and never received it ? Part of an Easter offer My mum had sister in law had leek and potato soup (unsure where the leek was apparently seemed more like mash potato I had buttermilk chicken burger as part of the 2 course offer and when it came with some sort of hot sauce not stated on this part of the menu as I wouldn't of ordered. I was told I should of read the other page in the menu that also didn't give a chilli symbol either. I waited for the lady to find the manager as she couldn't send it back to make another as it was 'my fault. But in the end had to scrape the sauce off and just ate a couple of chips and a half a coated chicken piece. Then the deserts two of us ordered weren't available and with very little else to offer instead this was disappointing. But the server who then I saw again at breakfast was still apologising at breakfast for the shambles and blamed it being busy (was this not expected it was easter) Lastly the morning we came down for breakfast it seemed deserted and I thought it was cancelled but whilst looking for someone I found it in the bar (perhaps a sign next time) The server however was lovely and saw to us very quickly as he had to refill a few things after having 38 cyclists in that morning . But we had breakfast which was good. When leaving I would of spoke to someone but no one was at reception and then the chef came so I didn't feel he was in charge so left.

Excellent staff, very helpful and accommodating, a lovely ambiance, but still an old hotel (with all the quirks that come along with it)
