National Trust The old Courthouse in Long Crendon nr Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Fascinating old building open to the public. Climb a short number of steep stairs to the first floor area where all the history of this fascinating building is there you to discover described on board displayed around the single rpm of the upper floor. Long Crendon is a lovely large village which was chosen by the BBC as the Coronation village for Queen Elizabeth 2 coronation in 1953.
There is alot of information boards here! The building itself is historic with lovely wooden floorboards. There is a small guide leaflet which you leave a small donation for. Great pub down the road. Plenty of street parking just outside. Would recommend a visit if you are interested in the architecture and local info.

It was very enlightening to read the history of the village that I have lived in for nearly twenty years and seeing all the old photos. You get a real sense of oldness in the court house.
