The team at Lomond have managed my property for 5 years now with professionalism, honesty and excellent customer service. I believe my tenants would agree also. Lomond have also recently sold a family members property, which they did flawlessly and achieved over the asking price. They are a local trustworthy company providing an excellent service.
I've been letting my flat through Lomond for nearly three years. My third tenant has just moved in, and in total the flat has only been empty for around 3 weeks in those 3 years. I've had great service in that time, and on the rare occasion that any issues have come up they've been quickly and professionally resolved. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Do not use this firm. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this company. I hired them to find me a professional tenant for a flat in Ayr. They took no landlord reference for this woman who went on to generate three months of arrears and send abuse by text when asked to pay. I later discovered they also failed to register her for council tax- leaving me liable for her bill. They then offered to re-list the property. They had two cancelled viewings and no actual viewings leaving an immaculate flat vacant for another 6 weeks. Would not recommend. The people are perfectly nice but they are not a credible agency. Their dodgy tenant plus the fees for notice of eviction plus the liability on council tax plus their own charges and her rent arrears left me about £2500 down!!! Do not use them.
Have let my property through Lomond for well over five years now. The level of service provided during this time has been nothing short of first class. I have had a few different agents act on my behalf and Lomond has been the best by a country mile in terms of professionalism, courtesy, maintenance and ensuring that my property complies with current legislative procedures. Would highly recommend.
I have been using Lomond for a number of years to assist and advise on both property rentals and sales. Their knowledge of the local market is second-to-none, as well as understanding the wider Scottish market and all the relevant legislation. Advice is delivered with a straightforward candour and various options are always presented. I value the company's approach and honesty, and would recommend them to anyone looking to sell or rent their home.
Applied to a listing less than two hours after it had been listed for the first time and was emailed by someone called Paula to advise me that as soon as viewings were sorted out, I'd be called. I've now just opened an email from this agent to advise me that an application for this property has been received from someone else and if I'm interested in looking at other properties through Lomond she'd be able to assist me. This email came four days after my first contact with no correspondence between these days. I personally feel that something underhand has occurred here and i will look to a different company for my business. I rented a previous property for almost 26 years, so was looking to stay indefinitely in this new property. Lomond have cost this vendor a tenant for the long term. I'm disgusted and annoyed.
Have had great service until I had an issue, the lady on the phone was very disrespectful towards me and practically could not give a s**t, think she needs to learn some manners and do some sort of course on customer service because it was atrosish, i wouldn't even give them 1 star after the way I was spoken to, need to grow up and learn how to do your job before speaking with people. Once I leave my property I will never rent through them again, I am also worried about getting my deposit back as I have heard that they hold it for a long period of time after you have left the property.
Lomond Ayr Lettings, 26 Parkhouse Street, Ayr, KA7 2HH. In fairness, when a customer has a complaint, the issue may not reflect on the overall running of a company. I can only comment on my own experience. My wife and I drove for 3.5 hours to view one of Lomond, Ayr lettings houses, that is, seven hours driving that day in order to view the property. We forwarded an application the following morning having been told that no applications had been received as yet. This involved several hours of collating all the required data which included salary details, credit items, passport photo, and references, and double-checking everything. Two emails with eight file attachments. I was surprised to receive no confirmation after forwarding the application by email. That was on a Thursday morning and I assumed the process, including credit and reference checks, would take several working days which meant it would probably be at least Tuesday of the following week before we would hear anything. We knew we would either get the house or not but we made provisional arrangements and plans should the application be accepted. By Friday of the following week, six working days after submitting the application, and having received absolutely no contact from Lomond Ayr Lettings, I telephoned their office in the afternoon. It was then that I learned that the house had been let to someone else and it was clear they had simply messed up. I was told the application had been considered I wonder but they acknowledged I should have been contacted. At no point did my wife and I feel we were entitled to get the house but I was really taken aback at this treatment. In short, we had been hoping all would be fine and made provisional plans while all the time the letting had been granted to another applicant. No email. No telephone call. Nothing. Remember, we drove 3.5 hours to see the house. In addition, we had forwarded them extensive and confidential information about us including salary details and a bank statement which they now have on file. That was my experience. Of course, I received one of those useless apologies that companies issue at such times. I was informed I would receive an email follow-up to the complaint. Guess what? That never happened. Finally, as mentioned above, I accept that this may be an isolated incident but why should this happen even once? *I assume the company will post the standard mitigating reply. I have been fair and accurate in my comments above no matter what they write.
Very poor at resolving tenants issues. I left the property a while back and Lomond have still not begun the process of returning my deposit. So I have £1050 sitting in an account and no word for nearly a month on why this isn't being returned.
Don’t normally post reviews but had too because the service I receive was truly amazing, I have been have been a tenant with Lomond estate agents for over a year now, just called them because I had no heating or hot water, the engineer was with me within 2 hours, found out I need a new boiler, lomond got the ok from owner and new one fitted within 24 hrs. The best agent in the world. Thanks so much
