Had a great time here. Its only a small place but is worth a visit. Its relatively inexpensive and will keep the kids entertained. Has new custodians and they are bringing the place up to spec. It's in a great location too so you can plan your whole day in the area.
Great little find that's dog friendly. Nice place to spend half n hour watching the fish do laps of the pool and seeing the fish Inside the cave. The chap running the place was helpful and very informative. We learnt about the history of the site and some fish identification tips. Great experience.
Great little place to visit. Will keep the kids and adults alike entertained. It's also in a fantastic location so you can stay in the area all day. Under new ownership who are trying to update the place and add new attractions to to fish collection. Definitely worth a visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A strange piece of history. The fish larder of the local castle, is now a yearly chance to learn about local species of fish and more. They have some really social rays!
We absolutely adored this little attraction. Q lovely chap showed us around and told us all about the different creatures, and the history behind it. We were made to feel extremely welcome. It is so quirky and reasonable priced for sure. We spent an hour here before spending the afternoon on the stunning beach.
I dont have any idea of maritime life but this visit was awesome. First of the view from this place is absolutely amazing - as is the Pond itself. But a big shoutout to the passionate and super friendly Owner, which name I unfortunatly cant recall. He showed us around, told us about the different animals and he let us hold some starfish. Definetly a must visit.
Very interesting wide range of fish and crustaceans. Free parking & £4 entry fee. Worth a visitVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Amazing place to visit. A little hidden gem on the southwest coast of Scotland. The gentleman who showed us round couldn’t have been more helpful. Gave the history of the place and you could see and hear his passion for it. Very reasonably priced and a great place to spend an hour or so. Kids will love it but very interesting for adults too.
It closes at 5pm, but I arrived a little late at 4.45pm. He was already closing up. So please go before 4pm. He was friendly. The road to it, is a single very bumpy ride. You can park in the 1st car park and walk to second car park, about 3/5 min walk. The place what I could see looked great. I would like to go again and see the pond next time
