Came here as a pit stop, not really knowing there was a small pop-up, volunteer/community-run tearoom here, and how lovely it was. The homebakes were delicious highly recommend the strawberry tart and the shortbread, and the staff were lovely. The artwork in the cafe is absolutely beautiful and actually based on the founder's childhood farmhouse, which adds to the overall atmosphere. Next door is a little crofting museum, and the whole centre is awash with local history and pride in local heritage. The centre provides educational experiences for children, adults and disabled folks, from cooking to gardening etc., all funded by community donations which is completely lovely and a great way to give back. Due to Covid, this aspect of the complex has fallen away slightly so I wish them the very best in the future and recommend anyone to head up that way. A very wholesome experience all round.

This is an educational place focused on getting children to grow and cook their own food BUT it also is a small community/volunteer run cafe, open Thurs-Sat. Friendly local staff and we had some good soup and sandwiches. Cakes looked yummy too.
