What an amazing day we had here, two as a Meet the birds' experience, and three as spectators. The staff were amazing. They were so informative and friendly and also brought humour into the day. The birds are fantastic. This was the best day of our holiday. Would very highly recommend a visit to everyone. We will be back for certain, next time we are up there. Thanks for a great experience.
**Amazing Wildlife Experience!** Visiting the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre was an extraordinary experience! Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Loch Lomond, the centre offers an up-close encounter with a variety of magnificent birds of prey. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the birds, providing fascinating insights into their behavior, habitats, and conservation efforts. The live demonstrations were a highlight, showcasing the birds' impressive skills and allowing for some breathtaking photo opportunities. The center is well-maintained, and the birds are clearly well-cared-for. It’s a great place for both adults and children to learn about these incredible creatures in a fun and engaging way. The setting by Loch Lomond adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for a day out. Highly recommend this visit for anyone interested in wildlife and conservation!
We visited here after a day exploring Balloch and it has been one of the highlights of my summer. Hidden away behind the trees, the Centre is spotless and calm if you ignore the odd screech from Miranda here and there. There is plenty to see and learn from each bird, with their informative education boards and the knowledgeable team that are more than happy to answer questions. The best bit was the flying show. Seeing these professionals interact with their birds up close was great, and personally, the occasional moment when the birds didn't cooperate or acted a bit stubborn added to the experience, as it showed their personalities off. Definetely come here if you're in the area, it's not expensive like many other attractions in the area, and you'll leave with a brand new appreciation for the raptors we have in the UK. Make sure to not miss the flying shows!!
Loved everything about it! Also the flying show and the owl encounter was so fun! Everyone on the facility is very nice and knowledgeable. We were more than happy to meet Stuart and Adele which were very welcoming! Would love to come back, make sure you include it in your trip. It would take around an hour incase you will see the flying show as well.
The centre was one of the places we visited on our day trip to Loch Lomond. Put simply, it was wonderful and well priced. Was definitely our favorite spot of everything we checked out. The staff seemed incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the lovely birds they had on display. If possible make sure to catch one of the flying shows for some cool action and birds with personality.
Really great place to visit to get to see some stunning birds up close and learn about them. Got speaking to one of the staff owners I think about the eagles and how they came to be there, obviously a well respected organisation in their field with a massive amount of care and dedication. Being able to leave and come back for the shows under the same ticket is great also. Really enjoyable and informative couple of hours.
Absolutely fantastic day! Myself and partner were a walk in. Able to sit down for the flight show. One of the best part of this was that the handlers of the birds explain fully the history of each individual animal and the care they're giving them now. Honestly so worth your time and money. The only, and honestly it's such a small critequ, I'm really nit picking with this comment, thing is that please expect the bird sanctuary to be small. That's not ever something I would say would spoil anyone's experience. After paying to have essentially unlimited time with all of the raptors both big and small. Could you complain? I couldn't The place is absolutely fantastic and I'm excited to go back and learn more about how they provide the great care for the birds and I'm interested in the experience packages for handling the more friendly animals. Those packages do come at a steaper price. But if you're a bird enthusiast like me I'm sure you'll know that price is worth it, especially with it going into the care of the bird that you get to handle! So good! Please give this place your time and attention!
Great set up, relaxed atmosphere, the enclosures are large and clean and the birds all look healthy and well cared for. I really enjoyed walking around today. Will be back for another visit soon.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Amazing place for Bird Lovers. Especially the birds of prey. Mr. Stuart and Ms. Adel were awesome courteous host. Very passionate about the birds and they take so much pain to explain finer details about various birds. This was our 2nd trip to the place. We would return again perhaps. I cannot remember the exact entry free, but it was seemingly cheap. The centre was fairly sized, in my opinion it was rather big for being a bird of prey centre. The flying shows are free to watch with entry and are extremely fun. The man that was flying the birds was obviously extremely knowledgeable, and it was fascinating watching him interact with the birds and see the bond they had. He had a great sense of humour and interesting stories about each of the birds. Also, Bones is the coolest bird in Scotland. Great place for both adults and kids on a nice day.
