I love visiting the Lobster Smack. Not only are you guaranteed delicious food, served by fantastic staff especially Natalie, but there’s always a friendly atmosphere. If the sun’s out, I’d recommend the beer garden. I’m not local but the drive is well worth it.

Were from Cambridge but we visit Leigh-on-sea regularly to see our grandmother and wanted to try somewhere different. Google to the rescue and the Lobster Smack popped up. WOW what a hidden Gem!!! From start to finish it was amazing Friendly atmosphere, Quick service & The food was delicious.Great value for money literally had to be rolled out!! The cherry on the top and The Star for me was Steve your service was awesome I just wish every place we ate at had someone like you! Thank you so much for a great afternoon my 96 year old grandmother loved it. See you again very soon!!!!
Very pleasantly surprised that a beautiful place so far off the beaten track is fantastic. Plenty of parking. Numerous tables. Very pleasant staff. Good menu. Obviously a fantastic chef kitchen staff who presented a mouthwatering meal. Can't wait to revisit in a week to tryout other meals on the menu. Thank you
I went last Friday evening with friends. A very old quaint pub with restaurant. Service was good and the food was delicious. The way it was served on the plate is what I would expect from a good restaurant. Not over priced. I certainly recommend The lobster Smack. Canvey Island.
First time we went the meals were lovely really enjoyed. Second time the food was good, but had to send the steak back as was like rubber. Got another piece, but the chips and mushrooms came back cold. So it was not as good as the first time. It was a Sunday so was busy. Just a tad disappointed.
Came here for a chilled out Sunday evening meal and glass of wine. Recommend the pie of the day. Mo and bar staff are really friendly. Loving the pooch station and menu.
Beautiful pub, right by the sea wall with an incredible garden area! Food was delicious, staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! And they’re dog friendly too!! Definitely recommend a visit!
