Located at a wonderful place with plenty of inside and outside seating but overall service and quality of food was bad. Even kids felt the difference in food and service. So far worst Wetherspoon experience among so many outlets we have visited. Very slow table service, staff at till wasn’t polite, helpful and seems burdened with work. Toilets were stinking dirty
A nice drink after the cinema b4 going somewhere else to eat. Nice busy pub atmosphere and friendly barstaff, but a few tables to choose from which was nice
App had a bug, doubled our order. Told the staff at the bar and they said they couldnt do anything as the food was already being cooked. The burgers we did get were cold and had to be reheaten in the microwave. And to finish it off we found a bone in our burger. Honestly no matter how drunk you are you can find a better place to eat food at. Staff were nice but the chain is definitely cutting corners.
Love the place, affordable prices, plenty of space, good food, nice and polite staff, I'm going quote often there and I feel confortabile and i enjoy it. Two things could improve the place some background music and to get rid of the slot machines and would make the place even better.
Nice 'spoons, at the edge of a shopping centre, so well positioned for a mid-shop beer or meal. Plenty of tables although very popular, especially at lunch.
It is a place for everyone, it has a good atmosphere and a variety of options. But attention from the workers is very very bad, they do not help or guide you, they should improve their attention at tables since you never meet someone even to ask for napkins.
Service was nice, friendly staff. But the food was awful! Pancakes like car tyres and burnt hashbrowns : coffee was also awful. Ivy House in Alton is much better!
As with all the Whetherspoon pubs the standard of The Angel is not a surprise. The service is fast and efficient but the Table 85 we sat on was greasy and unclean and sticky to touch. Our empty beer glass provided with the can of Budweiserwas so cloudy and unclean that we could not see through it! The food was well cooked and nicely served.
Came here Sunday 7th aug early afternoon for lunch with a few friends. Ordered via the app which was really easy to use & very quick to pay via different paying methods. Drinks came out within 5 minutes of ordering, then the food came out probably 15 mins after the drinks came out. We pretty much had the new Empire State burger meal with a drink deal, was very nice & the pint went down well in this current heatwave will definitely return again when in the area next for sure
Rubbish! Filthy! Rude staff! One of the worst Wetherspoons ever! Very rude overweight ginger haired female staff with piecings told us off for sitting down after walking around the shops for 3 hours whilest it cleared the table. "Couldn't you not waited till i cleared the table" So we both gladly obliged by leaving.
