The first time I came into Lloyds I was told I could not change the old pound coins or notes because I didn't have an account with them. Next day I tried to open an account, being from Australia I had my passport, BRP Card and I had a bank statement from Australia with my UK address on it with the bank signing and stamping the statement as well. The guy serving me said "This still isn't enough identification to prove who you are", Really...... Then he asked me "So do you have a gas bill, UK Tax Bill, anything with your UK Address on it?" and I said "Remember I only got in to the UK 4 days ago", he then said "Well if you can get a council tax bill or gas bill with your name on it then we can do something, I'm sorry". Well I'm sorry Lloyds, I really wanted to bank with you but your silly rules meant I couldn't put all my money with you.

Due to the new pound coins being introduce and the advice of government to bank the old ones I took a substantial amount in to the bank, ok so far🤑 But not ever been a cashier I did not realise that you could not mix the new and old pound coins, the cash bags did not tell me not to? But this is where lloyds cashier was outstanding in her service to me, she could see my disappointment and embarrassment she organised a room for me to sort out the coins 😎 This was not the banks problem or fault but went it went out of its way to help. Well done Lloyds
