Absolutely wonderful cheese shop. The building is surprisingly small but the range of both British and European cheeses on offer is HUGE! I visited at a quiet time and was able to spend at least 20 minutes browsing the long counter, trying samples and making my final selection. Finally every item was carefully weighed, double wrapped and clearly labelled. Can't remember when I last had service as good as this. I and my lunch guests were outstandingly pleased with the five cheeses I bought. Be warned! The cheese on offer is so good you'll buy more than you think you will! Happy guests went home with a little doggy bag and still some left for me!
We had a great experience visiting this shop around Christmas time. Staff were cheerful and Maisie was very helpful! Even though it was busy, they were patient as we tried a number of cheeses, deciding on the perfect one! The suggestions were great and the cheeses were delicious. Overall, a very good experience! :
My wife and I love cheese, this is by far the best place to go for it, they even deliver to the Wirral so it’s a win win, choices are by far the best and the staff are always so accommodating allowing you to try new things to make sure you buy what you like and not just what sounds nice

Having been let down by another cheese company at Christmas I discovered the Liverpool cheese company & what a find it is … the selection of cheese is amazing in the shop I’d need about 2 hours to explore the great choice of cheeses available & all in a really quant looking shop .. this is now my go to cheese supplier & wouldn’t go anywhere else the only thing is finding the time to work through the vast array of delicious looking cheeses & accompanying products
Cheesus, Mary and Joseph. What a debacle. Having ordered a Xmas hamper I am told I have 4 options: pick it up on December 29th, cancel my order, cancel and come into store and pay again, or, bizarrely, pop in on Christmas Eve. Camembert in mind, that they have these hampers in store every day. Anyway, it was not to brie this time. * I am entirely staggered by the below response, none of which is true. I haven't tried to beat any queue. I genuinely thought I could pick this product up from the store. Apparently, I can, as long as I cancel my order and pay again. Consider that for a moment; why on earth would a business not let me pick up a product I've paid for and they have in stock but will if we faff about with refunding and paying again? The rudeness below is everything that is wrong with what this business model has become. Overpriced cheese, bizarre and rude customer service, and then they make up stuff when they've lost business. This is literally how you end up with bad reviews.
Booked a private cheese and wine tasting for 12 people to celebrate a special birthday and it was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed the evening and Vickie was so knowledgeable. Really good fun!
Having bought many cheese boards from the shop and attending a couple of cheese schools previously, we ordered a cheese wedding cake for our wedding in June 2023. We got to try all the cheeses before ordering and Vickie was really helpful regarding which size we needed, biscuits and chutney. The cheese went down an absolute storm at our wedding and our guests were still talking about it the next day! They even matched the flowers to the wedding colour scheme too. Great service and I'm sure we will be back for more cheese in the future once we get through the leftovers in our fridge!.

I need to know which cheeses all the great reviews are buying? I’ve only been three times and each time they have cut hence charged more than I asked for last time 35% more! so I obviously asked for a smaller cut server tutted so instead of continuing to add to my order I just bought that one. And after a couple of days inedible. Can’t remember all the cheese but the one I just had to throw away was the Vintage Poacher.
