Good. First visit for a roast since it’s had a refurb. Nice clean fresh look. Nicely decorated.Outside has had a makeover as well with the outdoor covered seating. Food could of been hotter and more of it. Maybe a small gravy boat served with the roast.Staff polite and friendly.
After walking and watching the beautiful Clevedon sunset, we went there for food and drinks with friends. We had been there several times before and were satisfied. Weekends are usually busier than other days. After finding a suitable place with a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset, we ordered drinks and food. The waiter was very nice and polite and took our order calmly and politely. First the drinks and more than half an hour later our food was prepared and served. Of course, it was a good time to chat and enjoy a drink and a beautiful view of the sea. The food was not quite good. All meals were accompanied by chips, none of which had salt on them, but my chips had a lot of sea salt on them. Apparently the chef had put all the salt on my chips. Of course, it was sea salt and could be easily removed from the food. We all laughed at this. But it is better for the chef to be more careful in this field.
What impresses more than the electric view of the tumultuous seas of the Bristol Channel is the hospitality of the accommodating staff and the warm and cosy ambience. The menu boasts of a number of delicacies at a moderately fair price for the hungry customer willing to go high but spend low. All in all, a lovely experience.
Large pub/restaurant on Clevedon sea front. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Usual pub fare from steak to salads. Well cooked food and friendly staff. Booking for restaurant advisable though you can eat in the bar without reservation. Pool table, lots of outdoor seating and dog friendly.
Excellent views, Excellent service, Excellent food, very friendly staff. The four of enjoyed our meals very much. Only one thing let it down, the waiters/waitresses didn't take the empty glasses away during service so ended up with one end of the table full of emptys and the desserts being served over the top of them.
I could be accused of being biased because my niece-in-law used to manage this hostelry. But it was, is and always has been a really great place to visit; stunning views, great service and superb food and drink. It’s everything a traditional pub should be and more.
Delicious food and a great view of the Bristol channel. Sevice is slow. Hence, plan to be there for more than an hour.
Lovely meal today with my elderly mother in law. The staff were very accommodating with her request to change her meal at the very last moment. Brilliant pub, great staff, brilliant service. Pub situated with great views over the Bristol channel. We will be back.
The standout element of the pub is the beautiful outdoor space with beach huts, it's directly on the seafeont with views across to the Welsh coast. Having a full bar outside with takeaway options is also really welcome. The pub menu is solid Greene King fare served by friendly staff.
Lovely location and a pleasant atmosphere. The pub has recently had a refurbishment and although the layout hasn't changed much the decor, flooring and furniture have been given a nice makeover- it's now a really nice place to eat and drink with improved service levels and a new menu too. Well worth a visit. The outside areas have a mixture of heated beach huts and open seating right by the sea.
