Our visit didn't live up to expectations. The man sitting at the table outside enjoying a cigarette assured us it's a great place to eat. He was wrong. We weren't greeted or seated in the almost empty shop. Must have been five minutes before anyone approached us to take our order after we'd found our own table and menu. Hubby and I ordered quiche with salad and coleslaw. It was the weirdest flavoured quiche I've ever tasted. No idea what was in it! The salad had a strange sweet dressing on it. The two just didn't go together. I ordered orange juice to drink. Didn't taste fresh and I suspect it wasn't even out of a carton. Tasted like nothing much at all. Definitely not orange! At the end of the meal we went to the counter to pay. No one asked if we'd enjoyed our meal. Just took our money. Definitely won't be visiting again and I suggest you stay away too. On walking further up the street we found lots of lovely looking alternatives that we wished we'd visited instead. While we were eating, a couple came in, sat at a table, looked at the menu then changed their mind and left before ordering. Wish we'd done the same!

Lovely cafe in the heart of Bideford all your usual find soups, sandwiches cakes etc. Seems to be open the longest hours in Bideford too which I always find handy for my late late lunch! Always had great food & service.

Excellent egg & bacon roll & pot of tea, smoke from outside smokers tainted the experience!

Went in for a latte & a tea, then saw poached eggs on toast for £3 well when they were served it seems they used 1/2 an egg for each section, also i did not ask for white bread , so be careful. Was quite enjoyable but no way was that TWO eggs per person.
